Tool Trees

Description
Would be cool if I could modify a prop after I bonemerged it. Hm? What's do these tools do?

Tool Trees is a set of rendering tools that can be used for modifying the appearance of an entity and its bonemerged descendants. They can be found in the Render category.

They currently consist of three tools:
  • Color Tree, for painting an entity,
  • Model Tree, for setting an entity's skin, bodygroups, or model, and
  • Material Tree, for setting the (sub)materials of an entity.
These additional tools extend upon the abilities of their regular counterparts by adding UI for modifying an entity's descendants, as well as settings to quickly modify multiple bonemerged entities at once.

For ease of use, the UI for these tools resemble the original GMod tools, as well as those found around the workshop (such as Rubat's Easy Bodygroup Tool or the Model tool from Stik's Tools). If that doesn't convince you, I would also watch the preview video to see how they work.

Supported Addons
The Color Tree from Tool Trees conditionally adds material proxy support for the following addons if the user subscribes to them:
The Color Tree uses the entities and functions from these tools to tint, glow up, or cloak bonemerged props. Nothing happens if these tools aren't installed.

The Color Tree can also color submaterials through the Advanced Colour Tool if it is installed.

@eyes Could you give some more detail in the Bugs Report section when you get a chance? I will also look into this with the other bonemerge addons from workshop when I’m available

@Unami Fox Base duplicator for those Glide vehicles works with the color/material tree tools, though I haven't tested this extensively to find any issues with those. I confirmed that the colors from the color tree don't duplicate with Advanced Duplicator 2 (materials do duplicate), but they do with the regular color tool. Another issue I think you might be seeing is that material/color edits are lost with the the duped vehicle's wheels

From my testing, this seems to only happen with these tools, Advanced Duplicator 2, and Glide vehicles (or the family of scripted vehicles/entities). Ragdolls and props seem to work just fine. I'll look through the Advanced Duplicator 2 source code to see if this issue may be worth tracking. If you do end up seeing more issues with Glide or other vehicle addons, I'd suggest making a discussion post here

Idk if I should report this bug here, Advanced Duplicator 2 or Glide . When you duplicate a glide vehicle after using the color and material tree tools using the base game duplicator or advanced duplicator, It undoes all of the edits done to the colors and materials.

@Ghucku I have fixed that on my version [github.com] of Advanced Colour Tool (click green Code <> button to download).

In addition, I also posted that my version to the comment section of the original workshop version. It appears the creator there privated his profile, so I can only assume that he is not maintaining the tool anymore. I might put this up on the workshop too, since I also havent heard from the original creator about taking it down
