@hinoron1 Stirling Generators only degrade when opened, so this mod is presumably to lengthen the time periods between the rather resource intensive (for early game) maintenance breaks.

I feel like I'm missing something obvious? Why would I want to open or close Stirling generators at different times of day? I could imagine closing them during dust storms to limit their maintenance need (not that I ever bother).

(Thinking) Something to do with offsetting solar panels that stop working at night? But what benefit is there in reducing power production, ever? There's even a breakthrough that adds overproduced power to research.
