How to sync your Balatro save data between your PC and iOS device using Shortcuts

Warning

This may corrupt your save, especially if there will be different version on your device and your PC. Always make backups and update the game on both devices.

Setting up your Windows PC

First of all, you need to download iCloud for Windows: https://support.apple.com/en-us/103232

Create the Balatro folder in iCloud Drive and copy the game save from %APPDATA%/Balatro to iCloud Drive. The folder should look like this:


Then, open notepad and paste the following:

robocopy %USERPROFILE%\iCloudDrive\Balatro %APPDATA%\Balatro /MIR

robocopy %APPDATA%\Balatro %USERPROFILE%\iCloudDrive\Balatro /MIR

Save the file, but set the type from "Text Documents" to "All Files" and add .bat to the end:


After that, you need to make your Steam client launch the bat script instead of the game. To do that, copy the path to the bat script you just created, using Shift+Right Click, then select the Copy As Path:


Then open game configuration in steam, and set launch command to the path you copied + %command%:


Now, if you launch the game the script will open, which will copy the saves from iCloud, launch the game and then copy save back up to iCloud after game exits.

Setting up your iDevice

Sadly, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Balatro app (at least on iOS) doesn't expose save data. To walk around that, you would need to build custom version of Balatro using this: https://github.com/blake502/balatro-mobile-maker. Follow the instructions and build .ipa file. Sideload it using Sideloadly or your preferred app for sideloading stuff - just make sure that option to enable file support: in Sideloadly this can be done using the checkbox "Enable File Sharing" under advanced options, and in ESign under "More Settings".

Then, import the following two shortcuts:

Backup Balatro Save: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/90a046caae424e8da1e3214e449400dd
Run Balatro: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/265448e4b7a4490fba8403e1abf40bad

Change the location of second action in "Run Balatro" shortcut to the folder of your game in Files app and change app in latest action to your custom-built Balatro. Do the same to "Backup Balatro Save".

After that, go into Automation tab of iCloud, and create Automation to run "Backup Balatro Save" when your custom-built Balatro is closed:


Now create the home screen icon to launch "Run Balatro" shortcut and enjoy!

If I'm from Latinamerica I guess I'm f*cked because AltStore App Is only available in Europe, but I see u can use an AltStore classic, I'll give a try if that works.

On android you can't sync saves dynamically, but you can use balatro mobile maker to sync save to android

Did you setup automation to run backup action? Do you get push notification when closing balatro?

hi what am i doing wrong that,
when i play on steam it syncs and saves perfectly but when i use it on my ipad to play and when i go back to steam it doesnt seem to save my progess from my ipad, one thing i notice is that when i go into the save file at i cloud it just seems to be making saves as 1 for the new save and the old one as game
