Growing season for seeds/crops B42

Intro

Hey guys,

I did it for myself, however, i am publishing the guide just in case someone find it informative and helpful.

What i am doing here is to place all seeds i have encounter in the game with the growing season. Why? simple, i am tired of taking all seeds and check 1 by one before plowing. So now i check the table with the current month to plow without carrying all my seeds.

Legend

So, the information in the table is all from the game.

• 0; Growing Season
  
• 1; Best month to seed.
  
• -1; worst month to seed IN the growing season.
  
• -2; worst month to seed outside the growing season.

For example, growing season from march to june will be 0, with -1 if the worst month is June and -2 if it's july, and 1 if march it is the best.

Difference between -1 and -2, in game is marked the growing season with the worst month, sometimes the worst month is between the growing season. However, i still don't know if it's important, because i am not sowing outside the growing season.

Missing information.

To be added more seeds, i didn't find all seeds in game, so probably i will be missing some of them, so if you guys have any missing seed and i can add it to the table it could be great so we can help each others.

Also, i don't know what will happen if you plow in the worst month, or outisde the growing season, i don't know if you will have less yield, it will die, will have more diseases.

Also, i don't know if you need to plow before the growing season, or during the growing season.

Any other information we can gather to make the farm great again, will be welcome. At the moment this is merely raw info from seed packets for the B42 growing seasons. This will be useful only if you don't disable the growing season.

According to Indie stone, the season grow for the crops has been fixed:

"- Fixed an error with the farming code where a plant's bad month would be offset forwards by one month, resulting in crops being incorrectly cursed in some circumstances."

So the guide should be useful from now on.

Added a disclaimer as the growing season is currently bug in the unstable branch.

Updated: Added new months for some seeds, either have beeen updated in game or i noted wrong information. Added, garlic, poppies, lavender, roses, sunflower, chamomille, broadleaf, broccoli, comfrey, mallow, flax, leek, lemongrass,lettuce, rosemary, mint, radish, soybeans, spinach, strawberry.

Some seeds seems to have different information in the package than in the discovered media. For example "Onions" in the package says only 1 month to seed, but in the discovered media it shows 2 different months.

I also discovered that if you click on the "Discovered media" button on the character menu, the tab named "agriculture" shows all the growth seasons you have learned

@oriedroc, me neither, sometimes the poor months are inside the growing season which makes no sense and other times are outside lol, we will need to test what it means.
