Ranks

To gain ranks you need to have CS2 Prime. Which costs about 14 euros.

Gaining ranks:
Ranks in CS2 Are determined through the competitive gamemode, winning matches and performing well (kills, assists, MVPs) are crucial for rank progress. Avoid frequent losses as they (can) lead to rank demotion.

Calibration:
New players must complete 10 placement matches to get their initial rank, these matches determine your skill group based on performance and wins/losses.

Skill Based system:
The rank is part of the Elo system, meaning it depends on the skill of your opponents and your contribution to the team.

To earn XP, heres what you need to do.

Game modes:
Play various gamemodes (deathmatch, arms race, premier) but as there are a lot of cheaters, i wouldn't recommend playing non prime gamemodes.

Weekly XP Bonus:
Each week, players have a boosted XP cap... You need to play regularly to maximize rewards from this bonus.



TIPS FOR BEGINNERS:
Focus on improving mechanics such as aim and map knowledge, coordination, etc.
Communicate with teammates.
Learn smokes and molotovs on the maps you play on, this can be a gamechanger.

Service Medals

Service medals are special awards that represent your dedication in the game. These medals are displayed on your profile and serve as a badge of achievement for reaching high levels (Global rank 40) during a year.

To earn service medals, you need to:

Reach global general, which is level 40.

Once you reach level 40, you nee to reset your profile rank to claim the service medal.

Service medals are updated each year with new designs, so you can earn a new medal every year by repeating the same process.
