Equip Ranged Weapons

Description
Mod has been updated Dec/27/24

Equip Ranged adds ranged slot functionality into the game! Now you don't have to choose between holding your bow or your tool :)

1. Right click weapon to equip
3. F to lock on to a target (shift+F to cycle or hover over target and press shift+F to select)
4. F to fire

Currently, if you press F to fire while a ranged weapon is on the currently shown hot-bar, it will prioritise that but you can just press CTRL to cycle to the other hot-bar.

To Do:
1. Add throwables (Boomerang and putit support already added)
2. Work on firing prioritisation order to scan for fireable weapons in slots and allow player to select priority slot for firing.
3. Having reloading prioritise the ranged slot upon right clicking ammo in inventory.

Known Issues
1. In some instances the user must remove hot-bar ranged weapons for the mod to correctly write the slot
2. Firing priority needs to be improved (issue is related to above issue)
3. Game reloading mechanism doesn't work correctly when multiple reloadable weapons are held. I noticed that for gunlances and zephir, the player may need to equip the empty weapon to the main hand from the off-hand before reloading for it to reload correctly. If these weapons are in the main and off-hand, they will need to be unequipped if player wants to right-click ammo to reload an equipped range weapon.

Two things I noticed (before the big update of January 4).
Marksman does not gain experience if you use an equipped ranged weapon, doing it the vanilla way give experience as normal.
The ranged slot remains even after disabling the mod and removing all related files.

Can you add Enchant possibility to throwing weapons?

I couldn't be more specific cause i have a mod that allows more than the default "long range melee" weapons to have the "long range" enchantment.

(not in front of the PC atm, names in quotes are inaccurate)

@DW420, I tested this and did not experience it with spears, the holy polearm, the halberd or the trident. I did however experience this with the gunlance and with the zephir sword! I've done a quick patch so now those two will not equip to the ranged slot but players can still equip them into a hand slot and fire them using F. Please let me know if you experienced this with a certain weapon in particular and I will take a look when I have a chance.

For the next patch I will try to patch the prioritisation order for F that the game uses.

it seems that the game registers any weapon that has a longer than melee range (eg. polearm) as ranged.

As of 26/12/24 I have added in Putit in Amber and Boomerang support! Slots should now auto-appear when you hover over a ranged weapon if they do not already exist.

I will include support for other thrown weapons on a future date! I appreciate everyone subscribing! Feel free to post requested features or bugs.
