Gorky Parked & Purge Achievements with Bots

Simple guide on getting Heavy's 'Gorky Parked' and 'Purge' achievements on Dustbowl using a bot and some commands.

Introduction

Most players who use Heavy a lot on Control Point maps should have these achievements, or be close enough to getting them. Nonetheless, here is my quick and easy guide to getting these two in a couple of minutes.

Setting Up

Let's start the game and map.

• Go to TF2's Main Menu
  
• Enter 'map cp_dustbowl' into the console
  
• When the map loads, choose RED and spawn as Heavy
  
• Enter 'mp_timelimit 9999' into the console (so the round lasts long enough)
  
• Enter 'mp_disable_respawn_times 1' into the console (speeds things up)

Now, the bot.

• If bots spawned when starting the map, enter 'tf_bot_kick all' into the console
  
• To spawn the bot you need, enter 'tf_bot_add medic blue' into the console

Earning the Achievements

Here's the fun important part.

• As Heavy, make your way to the first control point in the building ahead of BLU's spawn
  
• Stand on the point to block any captures by BLU

Once you're ready with your minigun out, follow these steps:

• Enter 'sv_cheats 1; bot_teleport [BOT NAME] -213 2762 -165 7 123 0; sv_cheats 0' into the console
  
• The bot will spawn on the point, so quickly kill it before it can react
  
• Once it respawns (look at the HUD), rinse and repeat until you have both achievements

(NOTE: If the bot won't teleport, make sure its name is only one word. For example, the bot named 'The Administrator' won't teleport even if you do 'The_Administrator', but the bot 'AmNot' will. If you get a bot named with two words, just kick it and spawn another until their one-word name.)

It can be a little tedious, but it's nice to complete two achievements at once. Good luck!
