How to (Hopefully) Have a Better Shot at Connecting to Matches.

Something to help mitigate. Unsure of how much it may succeed in helping out others.

The Process.
1. Open the Start Menu.

2. Either go to the Windows System folder here and open Control Panel, or Search for it.
3. Sort View by Icons; Not by Category. this will make finding things here easier for you.
4. Open Windows Defender Firewall.
5. In Windows Defender Firewall, click on Allow an App or Feature Through Windows Firewall.
6. Click Change Settings, Allow Another App, and Browse.

7. Add the following Firewall exceptions if they are not already present in the list:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat.exe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS\EastAntiCheat_EOS.exe

The above are the non-game-specific versions of Easy Anti-Cheat executables. The game-specific versions may communicate with these as part of connection handshakes or performing update checks. Otherwise, adding specific rules for them may make any connection handshakes they perform easier.

8. You should be done with this process.
Closing Statements.
This may not help, but I noted that after allowing the EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe main process in the Windows Firewall when it was not previously whitelisted, connecting to matches in Moscow, Berlin, Polyarny, and so on became easier to do without losing connection to the lobby host, being unexpectedly kicked from them, or otherwise suffering from more intense game instability than usual.

With this in mind, ideally, it may help users who also take a long time connecting to matches or fail to connect in spite of the best of cases. Warsaw is still a mixed bag on that note, but less of one.

Feel free to give feedback about this, and whether it was of benefit to you or not. Good day.

Oh, and, remember to uninstall and reinstall the game at least once if you did not do this following Wishlist Games (WLG) Patch 0.1 some months back. Release notes said to for existing local installs, even after the game package file size reduction. Otherwise, oh well.
