Start, end and running time of Post Malone's Murder Circus
  • Start: Thursday, 12.12.2024
  • End: Monday, 10.02.2025
  • Duration: 63 days
Circus area
For the duration of the event, all maps - Stillwater Bayou, Lawson Delta and Mammon's Gulch - will have a circus area in each round.

This area will not only serve as a stage for brand new features, but also as a hub for all content previously found in the Sealed Cache.

On the circus grounds, you will find various tents and stalls where you can exchange your Pact Tokens for weapons, healing effects and consumables. You will also encounter the new fortune-telling machine and the terrifying monster Ursa Mortis.

The circus is also the place to find the new weapon “Shredder”.

Fortune telling machine
The fortune-telling machine is a brand new feature that brings a breath of fresh air to the game with Post Malone's Murder Circus.

This machine allows you to use your Pact Tokens to randomly receive valuable rewards that give you advantages in the game.

The rewards known so far include random abilities, effects from the sealed stash and various weapons.

You can find the fortune teller machine both on the circus grounds and occasionally at supply points on the map.

New monster: Ursa Mortis
The latest monster in the Hunt Showdown compendium is “Ursa Mortis” - a huge, two-headed bear. This fearsome creature patrols the circus grounds and defends them resolutely against intruders.

Ursa Mortis is particularly attentive to bleeding hunters, which it prefers to target - similar to the meat head, which concentrates on poisoned targets.

Like the Fleshhead, Ursa Mortis can also leave behind an ability when defeated, which you can use to your advantage.

New monster variant: circus grunts
In keeping with the circus atmosphere of Post Malone's Murder Circus, special grunts in clown costumes appear during the event.

In contrast to the other circus features, these creepily disguised enemies are not only to be found on the circus grounds, but appear all over the map.

The grunts wear creepy and beautiful costumes and offer you an additional incentive: defeating them earns you extra event points.
Factions in Post Malone's Murder Circus
There are three new factions in the latest event, this time known as “Troupes”.

Players can join one of these factions at supply points or directly on the circus grounds. When you join, you automatically receive the first ability of the respective faction.

If you decide to donate Pact Tokens to the faction again, you can also unlock the second ability.

Pact tokens and event points in Post Malone's Murder Circus
Two currencies are available to you during the event: Pact Tokens and Event Points.

Pact tokens are used directly in the game, for example to join a faction, trigger restoration effects or use the fortune teller machine.

Event points, on the other hand, advance your event progress. They help you to level up in the Battle Pass and receive additional rewards. You will also receive additional Pact Tokens at certain threshold values.

How to earn pact tokens

A new feature of the Pact Tokens is that you can now carry up to 9 Pact Tokens at the same time.

You can earn Pact Tokens through the following actions:
  • Every 25 Event Points earned → 1 Covenant Token
  • Banish a target in Bounty Clash mode → 2 Covenant Tokens
  • Become a Soul Survivor → 3 Pact tokens
Additionally, you can steal an enemy Hunter's Pact Tokens when looting them. These tokens are then lost to the original owner, even if they are revived.

How to earn event points

Event points can be collected through a variety of actions:
  • Extract → 30 event points with a bounty
  • Become a Soul Survivor → 30 event points
  • Defeat Ursa Mortis → 15 event points
  • Become a Wellspring → 15 event points
  • Loot a hunter for the first time → 8 event points
  • Interact with cracks / clues → 6 event points
  • Defeat Fleshhead → 5 event points
  • Kill circus grunts → 3 event points
  • Destroy balloons → 3 event points
  • Defeat swarm mothers or hellhounds → 1 event point
  • Defeat armored or immolators → 1 event point
Changes to the shadow view
Previously, it was not possible for bounty bearers to activate shadow vision without using up the valuable seconds of the boost.

Update 2.2 changes this: From now on, you can activate the boost by pressing an additional button (default: right-click / mouse button 2).

For players who want to continue using the shadow view as usual without separating it from the boost function, a legacy option is available in the settings.

The “Shredder” is a unique saw blade launcher that can also fire explosive ammunition. This special weapon is only available once per round in the game and must be unlocked with pact tokens in the circus tent.

The saw blades of the Shredder have the ability to bounce off hard surfaces, making it possible to shoot skillfully around corners or across floors.

Unlike other event weapons, the Shredder will only be available for the duration of Post Malone's Murder Circus and will disappear after the event ends.
