Smart RBM patch

Description
Automatically adjusts armor values in Bannerlord based on material type and naming conventions. Ensures compatibility with Realistic Battle Mod (RBM) for a more immersive and balanced experience.

What Does This Mod Do?

This mod automates the assignment of armor values to items in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord based on their material type and naming conventions, ensuring seamless compatibility with the Realistic Battle Mod (RBM). By leveraging XSLT, it intelligently parses items.xml iles to adjust armor stats, removing the need for manual adjustments by modders or users.

Features:

Automatic Armor Value Adjustment: Assigns appropriate armor values based on material_type (Plate, Chainmail, Leather, Cloth) and specific naming conventions.

RBM Compatibility: Fully supports Realistic Battle Mod (RBM) hitbox mechanics and armor calculations.

Customizable Naming System: Recognizes a variety of terms like "Great Helm," "Nasal," "Full Plate," "Mail Gloves," etc., for precise armor assignments.

Support for All Item Types: Handles helmets, body armor, gloves, boots, and capes with detailed logic for realistic values.

Load order:
This mod always needs to be at the bottom of the launcher, under every armory or rbm patch or any mod that adds any kind of armor to the game.

Requirements:
It requires RBM with combat module enabled.

Just a note, you don't need to use the RBM combat module for this to work. IE, if you just want more potent armor, as long as you have RBM installed, presumably because you want the AI module, you can run this to get armor values in line with RBM, but without their combat stuff.

Not sure if it's a good idea for gameplay, but it does work!

What about modded weapon parts? Any non-RBM patched modded weapons are all comparatively OP since they follow base damage values which is several times the values of RBM, especially pierce type weapons.

It works! Great idea! :blessyou:
Generally this is the way...its not realistic every time that a new armour-set mod is released an RBM patch also to be updated! Just for fixing armory values etc...
Don't mind if it miss-matches some armours.....no big deal-keep the good work! Don't forget to mention load orders because they matter a lot sometimes.

No - wait, it did. The mode made all armor that "share same material" have the same prices in store. Also weights are adjusted.

I really doubt if this mod has changed the price values of equipment (which RBM already did), and, well, what I encountered is a jewelry crown and a jewelry full-plated helmet cost the same amount of dinars.

damn that sucks, I just got this game and was planning on downloading Eagle Rising after my first playthrough, but I guess that only makes it a little bit harder but isn't the end of the world

@silverservice RBM got moved to nexus, if you had it installed on here already and never unsubscribed you're fine since you still have the files, but I'd recommend using the nexus version
