Really? It's almost as if it says that "it's a script" thus is REQUIRED to function properly so it missing is going to break saves it was used in prior!
corrupts your save when you try to uninstall
Could the line of code for sk_ammo_crossbow_max and sk_plr_dmg_crossbow be removed from the custom scripts to increase compatibility with other mods?
Also, I agree with @John on this one. It would be ultra awesome to have this.

the trigger only detects the crossbow bolt class and runs another CFG when it fires
the cfg teleports the bolt and spawns the tracer effect
