Locating the downloaded song files
The game stores all downloaded songs in the local AppData directory of the current user. Below are instructions on how to navigate to the downloaded songs directory on both Windows and Linux / Steam Deck.

On Windows
  1. Press Windows-Key + R to open the Run prompt
  2. Type %localappdata%low and click OK - A new Windows Explorer window should appear
  3. Navigate to BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc_ > Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Festival
  4. All downloaded songs are stored in the PackedSongsSteam directory

On Linux / Steam Deck
On Linux the game uses Proton as a compatibility layer to run. The AppData directory is stored in a game specific wineprefix directory. An easy way to get to the wineprefix directory is by using Protontricks.
  1. Open Protontricks
  2. Select Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival: 2288630 and click OK
  3. Select Select the default wineprefix and click OK
  4. Select Browse files and click OK - A new file explorer window should appear
  5. Navigate to drive_c > users > steamuser > AppData > LocalLow > BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc_ > Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Festival
  6. All downloaded songs are stored in the PackedSongsSteam directory

Alternatively, you can get to the wineprefix directory like this:
  • Home > .local > share > Steam > steamapps > compatdata > 2288630 > pfx
Copying the downloaded song files
Copying the downloaded song files is as simple as copying the PackedSongsSteam directory from one computer to another and overwriting files as necessary. Verify your copied downloaded song data by running the game and going into Taiko Mode. Your downloaded songs should appear in your library now.

It's only saving you from having to download each song individually. You still have to have the music pass subscription for this to work. This does save a lot of time clicking download on each song.

I honestly don't think so but I'm also not a lawyer so take this with a grain of salt:
If the act of copying your legally obtained game files from one PC to another was illegal then so would be Valves network transfer feature or their backup and restore feature as these allow you to transfer and create and store personal backups of your game files. All you do when following this guide is taking your legally obtained game files and putting them on another computer so you don't have to download them again, kinda like what Steam does when you network transfer an installed game from one PC to another. And no, Steam network transfers do not transfer the downloaded Taiko Pass songs due to how they are being stored, which is why I wrote this guide to begin with. Besides, just having the files is useless because you still require the Taiko Music Pass subscription to access them, kinda like you need to own a game on your Steam account to be able to play it.

Is this considered as piracy?
