IMPORTANT Read before starting
This game will require you to play through the full campaign at least four times to earn all of the achievements. You must complete the game, choosing to swear loyalty to the King, the Resistance, Sarranga, and the Undead. Some achievements can only be earned by playing as the specific faction during your first playthrough of that campaign. They have been accordingly placed in their respective sections of this guide.
General Achievements
These are achievements that can be earned by playing the game at anytime, regardless of campaign, level, or mode.

Is it an option?

Change the ‘Diplomacy’ option

Go to the main menu, click settings, in the game section, the last item will be the diplomacy settings. Choose any option.

We have food at home

Fill your Granary or Townhall with food

Start any mission, put a couple of berry pickers' houses and fishermen's huts. Wait until the food is 100 out of 100.

Where is the buffet menu?

Provide your settlement with a food diversity

Upgrade the Town Hall to level 2. Build a farm with wheat, place a berry picker, and a fishermen's hut. Wait for all of them to bring food.

Quartermasters approve

Build Barracks I

Build a barracks.

Now, that’s what I call a Town Hall!

Upgrade your Townhall to the 3rd level

Upgrade your Townhall to the 3rd level

Player M.D.

Cure someone who is sick

When one of your citizens or soldiers die, do not immediately bury them. Let their corpse rot and eventually your citizens will get sick if they're in proximity of the corpse. Then place down either a hospital or field tent within the range of your sick citizens.

RIP

Bury a dead man

When a soldier or citizen dies have a mortician bury them in a cemetery.

No country for dead

Destroy your cemetery with someone buried in it

After burying someone in the cemetery. Dismantle it.

Killer instinct

Kill 150 enemies on a single map

Kill 150 enemies on a single map.

My first time

Repulse an enemy attack

Successfully defend against a wave of enemies.

300

That's how many men your army counts

Assemble an army of 300. I recommend waiting until the last level where you attack Abberlore. You will more than likely assemble a massive army for the level and unlock the achievement organically.

Million dollar trooper

Earn 50 gold in a single mission

Trade all of your resources until you get 50 gold. You can also research the upgrade for the market to earn more gold for your trades. Additionally, you can wait until the final level and loot the gold carts around the map which will get you to 50 in no time.

Straight flush

You've got soldiers for all occasions

Recruit every type of unit from the barracks, stable, and engineer's guild.

Really dark knights

Cast Summon spell

You have this spell available immediately in every mission.

Astral channel

Cast Astral Ray spell

Build the monument and make sure you have 5 soul crystals.

Nobody dies on my watch!

Cast Healing spell

Upgrade the monument and have 2 soul crystals to cast the spell.

This is where the fun begins

Cast Meteor spell

Max upgrade the monument and have 10 soul crystals to cast the spell.
Campaign Achievements
Achievements that can be earned only in the campaign, but aren't exclusive to only one side of the campaign.

Salty dog

Build a ship

Will be unlocked during the fourth mission once you've completed all stages of the ship.

We come in peace

Kill your first enemy on the Unwelcoming Continent

Kill a Sarragan during the first mission on the Unwelcoming Continent.

Tower Offence

Destroy an enemy Tower on the Unwelcoming Continent

Will also be earned during the first mission on the Unwelcoming Continent.

No more spawning

On the Unwelcoming Continent, destroy a building that spawns enemies

Also found during the first mission on the Unwelcoming Continent.

Now it's dead?

Kill someone (or something) from the Undead faction on the Unwelcoming Continent

Just as the description says.

Goodnight, sweet Prince

Kill Ozzy

Best strategy I recommend is to gather 100+ Horse archers and micro them around Ozzy until he's dead. He will only target the one unit that's closest to him so try to find that unit and have it run circles around him while the other archers are shooting him.

Debugging

Kill a Bug Queen on the Unwelcoming Continent

Can be earned during the King or resistance campaigns. Choose the mission that leads through the mountains after reaching the Sarragan capital.

Greenpeace

Let a Heffalump scratch his back on the Townhall

Choose the other mission at the fork after the Sarragan capital. When the mission first starts there will be a heffalump next to your townhall and will begin attacking it shortly after. Disband your troops and let the heffalump reduce the townhall's health to ~10%. A cutscene will play and the mission will end. I believe you need to do this on the first attempt of this mission and you cannot replay it to earn the achievement.

The bigger they are...

Kill an Ancient Heffalump on the Unwelcoming Continent

Alongside the regular teal heffalumps. There is a bigger more yellow heffalump called an Ancient Heffalump on the map that you can find. It's bigger and stronger than the regular ones, but is no match against horse archers and ballista.

Dad-a-chum?

Kill an Emperor Crab on the Unwelcoming Continent

Can be found during the last mission on the Unwelcoming Continent. Horse archers and ballista are the answer.

We have the technology…

Complete each research during a single mission

Do this during a mission that isn't on a time have you defend against waves. You will most likely not have enough time to research everything.

People die for metal

When storming Abberlore, get your hands on the King's gold

During the mission in Abberlore there will be gold stockpiles in smaller forts outside of Abberlore and in the docks of the city. You acquire them just like any other stockpiles during the campaign.

Stock market crash

Undermine enemy's economy

Once you've breached the walls of Abberlore and start attacking the city. Target the docks and any other bazaar buildings. They are all located along the southern edge of the city just prior to reaching the final line of defense.

I'll be back!

When storming Abberlore, break the Machine

These machines are giant trebuchet-like units referred to as terminators. They appear within the final defensive line of the city. However, they also start appearing in the second attack wave. You can easily take them out with a swarm of infantry units.

Staunch technophobe

Take Abberlore without using machines

The hardest achievement in the game. You are not able to build a single unit from the engineers guild, not even for defense purposes. Mass up foot knights, mounted knights, and soul crystals. Get all applicable upgrades for them and storm the walls. Crossbowmen and horse archers will be annihilated by enemy artillery so don't bother using them for attacking. When enemies spawn from the castle. Pull your units back and use meteor strikes when a mass of enemy reinforcements forms. Be sure not to cast the strike too close to your units, or else you will kill them with the strike. Additionally, use astral ray for surgical strikes, healing when your units are close to death, and summon to draw enemy forces away.
Loyalty to the Crown
Achievements that can only be earned by staying loyal to the King.

Dead anarchist

Kill Scott the Bloody in the story campaign

Will unlock when you kill Scott the Bloody in the mission.

All that glitters

Pick up a precious figurine

Pick up the figurines during the second mission on the Unwelcoming Continent.

World’s wonder

Complete the Temple of Joy in 50 days

During the fourth mission on the Unwelcoming Continent. Build the temple and its wards within 50 days. You should be able to gather enough resources to complete it within 20-30 days.

Sinked it

Sink a Samreignian warship

On the last mission on the Unwelcoming Continent. There will be a camp with a handful of royal ships docked to the south of your settlement. Mass either horse archers or ballista and take them down to destroy one of the ships.

Long live the King

Complete the story campaign without switching sides

Earned once you beat the final level at Abberlore.
Loyalty to the Resistance
Achievements that can only be earned while pledging loyalty to the resistance.

Champion of the rabble

Side with the Rebels before it becomes mainstream

READ CAREFULLY. You need to start a brand new campaign and profile to earn this achievement. Once you've started the first mission, disband your troops and wait for the first wave of rebels to attack. Shortly after they start attacking your townhall a cutscene will play and give you the option to join the rebels or stay loyal to the King. Choose the rebels, the mission will end, and the achievement will unlock.

Rebel! Rebel!

Side with the Rebels

Will unlock after siding with the rebels

Revenant

Fourdoor survives in the Children of the revolution mission

You will have a giant unit named Fourdoor, just keep him out of combat or have healers escort him everywhere and you will easily unlock this.

Grand theft horse

Free Scott from prison in 50 days

Scott will be kept in the top left corner of the map and fortified. You can blitz the prison to free him quickly to earn the achievement then reload to give yourself plenty of time to properly prepare for the counterattack.

Damsel in distress

Rescue the princess from captivity in 50 days

Use the same technique above with Scott to free the princess. She will be in the top left corner of the map and guarded by the dragon. The dragon is very easy to kill actually so don't worry about assembling a large army to kill it.

The triumph of the Resistance

Complete the story campaign for the Resistance

Will be earned once completing the final mission after Abberlore.
Loyalty to Sarranga
Achievements that can only be earned when pledging loyalty to Sarranga.

Almost like in Pocahontas

Side with Sarranga

During the first mission on the Unwelcoming Continent. You can use the same strategy with the rebels by disbanding your troops and letting the Sarrangans approach your town hall.

Respect is everything

Complete a Sarranga ritual

During the first mission for Sarranga. There will be a day when your workers are not working and the ritual takes place. At this time, a mob will appear in the ritual circle, you will need to induce damage towards it. At the end of the day, the ritual ends, and the achievement is earned.

Cockroach race

The Pequod's health never dropped below 50% in the Long Walk mission

During this mission send your units ahead of the pequod to kill all enemies and prepositioned for the wave attacks. Have healers around to heal if it does take damage. Reload if the health ever drops below 50% or you suspect it does.

One rabbit stew comin' right up!

Kill Just a harmless little bunny

On the same mission with the Pequod there will be a narrow path that leads through the canyon to the left of the last turn towards the village. Send your troops in there to find and fight the bunny. The bunny does a lot of damage, but does not have a lot of health so it shouldn't be too hard to kill if you have a large army.

Big city lights

Beat the Hazy Shade of Winter mission in 43 days

For this one I recommend that you slowly increase your population to about 200 and sustain it. Then gather enough resources to mass build enough houses and fountains to launch your population to 500.

A hunting we shall go

Kill Defiled Father of Heffalumps

Mass horse archers/ballista and cheese the heffalump with the horseman. Be ready for the massive attack from the undead and the heffalumps once it is dead.

I want it Sarranga way

Complete the story campaign for Sarranga

Will be earned after completing the final mission.
Loyalty to the Undead
Achievements that can only be earned once siding with the Undead.

Let's ROCK!

Side with the Undead

You will get this after choosing to side with the undead on the mission that you fight Ozzie.

Apprentice Necromancer

Twilight Overlord's Avatar resurrected 20+ zombies at once

The necromancer achievements are really easy and you'll most likely get them by just playing normally. Be sure to keep the avatar close to the frontline so that it's able to resurrect the dead.

Journeyman Necromancer

Twilight Overlord's Avatar resurrected 50+ zombies at once

Master Necromancer

Twilight Overlord's Avatar resurrected 100+ zombies at once

Faster than death

Complete the "Dangerous tour" mission in 40 days

Very easy to do. Just keep a constant production of units and attacks on the town. You should be able to finish the mission by day 20.

Zerg Rush

Take Abberlore without using Grim Pilgrims or Nightmare Generals

This one is no where near as hard as the technophobe achievement. I massed up around 400 Shepherd of Horrors and 60 Machine O'Flesh. I then did mass wave attacks and was able to push deeper into the city with each attack. Your units are weaker than the normal human units so be sure to take out any artillery towers and barracks along the way. Especially the ones that spawn in cavalry. Do not be afraid to pull back your units to reinforce and reorganize for another push. Once in the heart of the city. Destroy the artillery and the trebuchets located along the southeast corner of the area. As long as you keep your distance from the castle, the castle will not spawn any troops. Once you've destroyed the artillery in that section, have your shepherds form a defensive line and let your machines barrage the castle until it's destroyed.

Cultural victory

Complete the story campaign the most civilized way

Will unlock after completing the final level.
Endless Mode Achievements
Beginner Wave Breaker

Repulse the 10th attacking wave in the Endless Mode

Amateur Wave Breaker

Repulse the 15th attacking wave in the Endless Mode

Master Wave Breaker

Repulse the 20th attacking wave in the Endless Mode

For Staunch Technophobe, you say not to use crossbows because they can easily die. While thats true, only melee spam will cause them all to crowd up, and only the front troops will be able to fight, so you get diminishing returns very quickly. You can use crossbowmen, just try to draw aggro from the siege towers onto knights (you can have a knight run ahead and get aggro, then set them to patrol perpendicular to the towers. As long as no troops approach them to fight, they should be able to outheal any stray shots that hit them and dodge the rest), and make sure to micro your crossbowmen occasionally to keep them safe. They all have basically 100% uptime in terms of dps, and are fairly cheap/quick to produce, so they're very useful. You can also use them to destroy several of the buildings that spawn troops while there is a big crowd crush preventing your melee troops from reaching it

Regarding the Staunch technophobe achievement, can you still get it if you use the Slowing Trap and Barrel Mine? Thanks for the guide!

Thank you

You can miss the opportunity to side with Sarranga in any campaign branch if you meet the first wave too far from your castle

Interesting, I was not given the option when I did my resistance playthrough. It was probably added later in an update. I'll update the guide to reflect the change.

The achievement for joining the Saranga is incorrect, you can join even with the resistance. There is a different cutscene for it, too. Very useful guide otherwise.
