The Light-DB (XL) for our WAF2024 Season 24/25 Patch v1.0

As the amount of data in the normal version is getting bigger and bigger, we have decided to provide a light database for the 24/25 season. Due to a reduced number of leagues, clubs and players, there should be a significant performance gain, especially on weaker computers.

The database has been reduced to 32 playable countries following a community vote. However, it is still possible to play on all 6 continents. The international competitions are also all included here.

To reduce the data size, all portraits are in a separate package.

XL: with all players, clubs and competitions for a complete gaming experience up to the 6th league level in Germany and England.
L: with all players, clubs and competitions for a full gaming experience up to the 5th league level in Germany and England.

S: reduced database based on community feedback with fewer playable countries, players, clubs and competitions to enable a pleasant gaming experience even on weaker computers up to the 6th league level in Germany and England.
XS: based on the S version including reduced leagues up to the 5th league level in Germany and England.

Women's database included in all versions.

Steam installation instructions:

1. subscribe to the package in the workshop
2. automatic download then starts in the Steam library
3. after completion of the download: Open the WAF game editor when starting in Steam
4. in the editor: click on the “Steam Workshop” button (bottom right)
5. in “Steam Workshop” click on Download (top right)
6. click on Update
7. select the database you want to integrate
8. click on the “Integrate data into the game” field (light green field)
9. then you can exit the editor and start the game
10. Select “own database” if you are starting a new game and you are ready to go.
11. Have fun with the game!
