Unlocking the They're Here achievement.

They're Here

This is an easy but missable achievement.

Start a new game and head into the room with the television (go through the door on the left, down the hallway, and enter the first door you see).



In this room, simply walk to the other side (near the curtains), wait, and do nothing... After a short while, a spooky cutscene will trigger, granting you the achievement.

PS: For me this triggered in less than 2 minutes, unfortunately it could also take nearly 15 minutes (thank you Mr.Miazma).

Oof that's a long time... I didn't do anything special, I entered the room and waited on the other side next to the curtain, I even stepped away from the computer while waiting, it took something between 1-2 minutes to trigger

I mean I got it, but it took like 15 minutes of noncing about in one room. In the og game, it wasnt on such a missable timer like that. Have you got it to trigger any quicker in Rewind mode?

I did it in Rewind mode so I can confirm it happens in there. Hopefully you got it by now.

is it just me, or does this scene never want to happen in Rewind? Its a guaranteed occurence in the original roms..

That should be true, yes! I've read that it is possible to obtain in the first bathroom you'll find, I imagine that's also why the achievement picture is the way it is. I've tried this a couple of times, but it never happened for me though.

You also get this by washing your hands in one of the sinks, no? Your way is likely quicker but not the only way to get it.
