One of the greatest horror games to ever exist, even inspiring games like Ao Oni.
I played this a while back through a fan-translation, only ever obtaining Ending Rank S.
Now with Rewind, I got all Ending Ranks on top of getting all achievements.
Everything about the game has been brought onto new screens beautifully, with amazing extras and quality of life features implemented into Rewind mode (optionally you can play the game as it originally was with "Original" mode, but Rewind mode is the preferred pick) like running up stairs and seeing scenes from the PS1 "The First Fear" version.
There may have been some minor annoyances while playing, but that didn't have much to do with the game, it more-so had to do with other factors and human error.

While the game itself is really good, don't let the fact this is a positive review fool you, I think this remaster could use a tweak or two, with the biggest one being the Extra Unlock notifications.
I will admit, I did use a guide to essentially unlock all extras so that the notification wouldn't pop up anymore.
This is because the notification takes up almost the entire screen, hiding away some pretty good action on-screen.
For PC users, this is no problem since you can just edit a file and call it a day, but I feel concerned about console peeps, since they'd have to deal with the notifications no matter what.
With no option to disable the notifications, it's really hard for me to recommend the game on consoles, but on PC it's fine.
If you ask me, I think having the notification be somewhere on the top corner of the screen would've been a better design choice, that way you can still get notified of when you unlock an extra and you can still see the action happening in the game.

Another one that has been pointed out quite a bit is mouse sensitivity options.
I know the original game didn't have this feature, but for a remaster, I would've expected there to be some kind of option for this, especially since on my PC, the mouse is far too fast. After a while of playing, I can get used to it, but that's just it, I have to get used to it. Why can't I just go into the options menu and adjust a slider for the in-game mouse?
Please, if any developers are looking at these reviews, take these points into account, I'd love to see an update that addresses these issues, it would make this remaster of Clock Tower a lot better to play.

Other than those two points, the remaster is very good and the game itself is as amazing as it always was.

A great port for the 1st game in the series and i'm mostly happy with it. Looking forward for Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within and Clock Tower 3. I would prefer that both the next entries be remastered with as least content change as possible, keeping it as close as possibles to the originals, by that i mean the Japanese looks.
