スタリオン・フェーズ1は、三菱自動車工業が展開する「スタリオン計画」の第一弾車種として限定発売されたスペシャリティモデルである。

2019年に公開された「Mi-TECH コンセプト」の技術試験車両の一面も持つこの車種だが、
「ガスタービンエンジン + PHEV」といった特殊なエンジン形式を採用している。

三菱と同じアライアンスの日産の「GT-R(R35)」のコンポーネンツをベースに、ガスタービンエンジン4基、モーター4基を詰め込んだ。
冷却機構も特殊で、三菱化学と三井化学が共同開発した「CF45X触媒」を採用した。

その触媒はフロンとは違い、より高い冷却性能でありながら排出されてもオゾン層を破壊しないものである。
この車種ではその触媒を循環させている。

これだけ複雑なシステムをフロントに積むため、車体の骨格重量も特殊な材料で構成され、骨格単体で122kgという、
史上類を見ない軽量化を実現しながら、CFRPよりも高い剛性を獲得している。

システムの最高出力は982psを発揮し、その狂気のパワーを4輪で駆動する。
また、「S-AWC」「AYC」などの三菱が培ってきた四輪駆動技術も惜しみなく投入された。

2021年初頭に限定生産され、世界444台の限定台数は即座に完売した。

それらの「スタリオン・フェーズ1」で培われた技術は後継の「スタリオン・フェーズ2」や、
「GTO PHEV」、「r-HSR」などに生かされることとなる。

The Starion Phase 1 is a specialty model released in limited quantities as the first model of the "Starion Project" developed by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.

This model also has an aspect of the technical test vehicle of the "Mi-TECH Concept" unveiled in 2019,
but it uses a special engine type of "gas turbine engine + PHEV".

Based on the components of Nissan's "GT-R (R35)", which is in the same alliance as Mitsubishi, it is packed with four gas turbine engines and four motors.
