Takes the 5 Wales-based English clubs and lets them qualify for Europe via the Welsh League Cup, sacrificing their ability to qualify via the English leagues and cup, as per recent rumours

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear you're enjoying those DBs! The last version of this took out the Euro playoff completely, in the previous version it only occurred if Wales had 5+ spots which was rare anyway.

As for League Cup winner going to CL, there may be a way to do that with "continental cup rules", but the game really won't like taking that spot from the league winner (the "champion") so I might experiment with that (like having the League Cup winner play the league winner for that spot at the end of the year or something).

Merthyr is doable for sure, it might be a while until I have some time to do it properly but it sounds fun, especially if there have been real life proposals.

What's wrong with Scottish Trust Cup? Haha but yeah that should be doable in the Scottish Old Firm file too

Hey - this is just SO SO amazing - Is there a way of removing the euro play-off from the welsh league and editing this so Merthyr are in the welsh prem to reflect the recent proposals? I'm running this with the old firm in the fa cup and the atlantic super league and russia in asia which has add so much QOL to the game. I was hoping I could make slight tweaks so that the Welsh league can compete. Wondered if someone could talk me through how to do the following or if someone could do this for me please:
- move Merthyr to welsh prem and keep them in league cup
- remove euro playoff welsh prem
- make welsh league cup winner qualify for the champions league rather than conference league
- remove scottish trust cup

I've watched tutorials and I used to build nations in editor around 12 years ago but the system is so different now.

Cheers, that checks with what I was doing, for now I'm setting it so the playoff will only run with 5 teams qualifying for Europe or more. You may be right about the hard-coding but I suspect that playing with the Additional Helper, league settings, and continental cup rules should do it. I'll work on that.

Although it's not clear whether the league would still have the playoff IRL if it included the team in second (or even first if Wales had only 2 spots and they're now both taken by cup winners), or if they would just drop the playoff entirely in some cases (like SI has predicted)

So if Cardiff, for example win the League Cup, TNS win the league and Penybont finish 2nd and Newtown finish 10th, but win the Welsh Cup, then those 4 teams automatically qualify for Europe meaning that there isn't a space for the playoff winner, which runs anyway. I've tried to alter the way that teams are selected so that the playoff looks for teams in 2nd place as well, but i can't make it work like this as i think it could well be hardcoded. You could alter the JD Prem entries in the editor so that the default stays as it is, but then the Euro Teams only run when there are 5 or more European places. Mean's you have to make do without the playoff for a bit doing it this way. I might have another play to see if i can make it work as i'd like to do something similar with my Welsh league file! I'll DM you if i can work it out!

Oh dang, how so? I'll try and fix it. Wonder if it's trying to find a league team from the League Cup and can't so it somehow skips a spot or something. Thanks

Works brilliantly if Wales have 5 or more qualifying spots... not so well if only 4 as it interfere's with the playoff.
