Demon Doors

There are 15 Demon Doors in Fable Anniversary and if you manage to open 12 of them (three are part of the story) you get the Open Saysmemiddlefinger achievement. When you open a Demon Door you can access a new area where you can find a chest containing clothing items, armors, Legendary Weapons, and many other items.

Demon Door #1 (Heroes’ Guild)

You can find the first Demon Door in Heroes’ Guild area. It is in the south side of the map, past the bridge and next to the waterfalls. You need a light to open the Demon Door. You will get a Lamp after you pass the final exam of the Guild Training.

When you have you can return to the door and it will open if it’s turned on. In the newly opened area there is a chest that has an Elixir of Life. Before getting outside don’t forget to loot some books and a tattoo.

Demon Door #2 (Rose Cottage)

The Demon Door in Rose Cottage is easy to spot when you access the area. It is also very easy to open. Just give something as a gift to the door, something cheap such as chocolates or roses. Inside the chest that’s in the area guarded by the Demon Door you can find a full Will User’s Bright outfit.

Demon Door #3 (Darkwood Marshes)

Another Demon Door that can be opened without too much effort is the one in Darkwood Marshes (the effort depends on your character equipment and upgrades). It’s on your left hand side when you access the area from Darkwood Entrance, you can’t miss it.

In order to open it you have to defeat its guardians, consisting of several waves of Hobbes. Once defeated, the Demon Door will open. Follow the path inside to find the chest. Loot it to get a full Will User’s Dark suit.

Demon Door #4 (Darkwood Bordello)

The Demon Door in Darkwood Bordello can be found around the house. Its request is for you to sleep with 10 women in the Bordello. As the task says, find yourself a woman that has a price suited to your pocket and sleep with it ten times.

Due to the nature of the task, you must open the door before completing the mini quest that’s available in this area if you follow the good path. If you follow the evil path you can complete the quest and then sleep with the women for free. Inside the chest guarded by the door you can find a Pimp Hat.

Demon Door #5 (Greatwood Gorge)

There’s a Demon Door in Greatwood Gorge right next to Greatwood Cullis Gate entrance and most definitely you will encounter it early during your playthrough. However, only characters that have the evil alignment bar maxed out can open it. Otherwise you need to commit a crime in front of the door, something that’s worth 50 evil points.

If you follow the good path you can open it in an alternate way, but only later in the game, after you unlock some distinct areas. In Darkwood Camp and Twinblade’s Camp you can purchase Crunchy Chicks, which give evil points while eaten. Buy 10-11 and eat them in front of the Demon Door to open it. Inside you can find a legendary weapon named Wellow’s Pickhammer (cut through some thorny wines to reach the chest).

Demon Door #6 (Greatwood Caves)

The Demon Door in Greatwood Caves is one of the hardest in the entire game, at least early on when you find it for the first time. The door tells you to show it a higher combat multiplier, so you need to return and speak to it again when your multiplier is at least 14.

To get a high combat multiplier enter the Hobbe Caves and defeat all the enemies (or most of them) as fast as you can. Then quickly go outside and defeat the spawned Hobbes (your multiplier drops a lot when going from one area to another).

As soon as you reach 14 talk to the door to open it. The chest that’s inside holds the Cutlass Bluetane Legendary Weapon, which is very useful for a decent part of the game.

Demon Door #7 (Witchwood Stones)

The Witchwood Stones Demon Door is the first one that it is part of the main story, so it can’t be missed (Find the Archaeologist). To get the Demon Door to open you must spell its name by hitting four stones which are located in the northern side of the map. Check the letters of the stones with the action button and then hit them to form the word HITS. There are many things to search for in the cavern guarded by the Demon Door (a 15 Key Silver Chest, a Resurrection Phial, Chainmail Leggings, a Sapphire, a Ruby, a Howl Tattoo).

Demon Door #8 (Knothole Glade)

There is a narrow path in Knothole Glade (outside the town) that leads to a Demon Door. The door opens only for those who hit it hard enough with an arrow. If you have a decent bow and your skills are high enough you should open it without much trouble. Otherwise you can return later when your character has better stats. Inside the chest protected by the Demon Door you can find an Elixir of Life.

Demon Door #9 (Abandoned Road)

You can open the Demon Door in the Abandoned Road area only you if own three specific costumes. The door demands you to bring his old friends to see them, hence you can trick it by dressing like them.The first costume is the Bright Plate Mail, which is probably the most difficult to find. Some parts can be bought from Knothole Glade, but the trader at the Arena holds the whole set (at a higher price), so don’t forget to buy it before fighting in the arena during the main quest.

The second suit is the Dark Will User’s Outfit, which can be purchased from the merchants in Knothole Glade or Hook Coast. However, you already have one if you opened Demon Door #3. The third costume is the Bandit Outfit which can be found in the chests in the Abandoned Road during a main quest. The Demon Door guards The Dollmaster’s Mace, a Legendary Weapon.

Demon Door #10 (Barrow Fields)

The Demon Door in Barrow Fields can be opened at any time assuming you have enough food. The door opens only if you are fat enough. Therefore, eat enough Apple Pies or Red Meat when you have a full health bar to gain weight (it takes around 25 Apple Pies or 27-30 pieces of Red Meat).

You will unlock the Definitely Not on Rails achievement when you are obese enough (if you haven’t already unlocked the achievement by exploring every region in Albion). When the Demon Door opens collect the Will Master’s Elixir that’s hidden in the chest.

Demon Door #11 (Headsman’s Hill)

You can open the Demon Door in Headsman’s Hill if you defeat a Hero in its presence. You can defeat Thunder when Lady Gray asks you to marry her during the Mayor’s Invitation quest. If you choose to expose Lady Gray the door will stay shut. As a reward you can find a Silver Chest in the cave.

Demon Door #12 (Grey House)

The Grey House Demon Door will open only if you marry someone with a title. The only person in the game who fits the description is Lady Grey in Bowerstone North, so the only way to open the door is to marry her instead of exposing her. Behind the door you can find the Legendary Weapon named Ronok the Axe.

Demon Door #13 (Lychfield Graveyard)

The Demon Door that can be found in Lychfield Graveyard is story related. It opens only for Nostro, hence you have to find his gear during the main quest The Graveyard Path. The door leads to the Old Graveyard Path.

Demon Door #14 (Lookout Point)

You can find a Demon Door in Lookout Point near the end of the game that opens automatically as part of The Prophets of the Fire Heart quest.

Demon Door #15 (Necropolis)

The final Demon Door is in Necropolis. You must give all 30 Silver Keys to the Demon Door if you want to get inside. Be warned that you will lose all your Silver Keys, so make sure to open all the Silver Chests before handing over the keys. Inside the chest guarded by the door you can find The Bereaver Legendary Weapon.

Legendary Weapons

Books

After you talk to the teacher you can start donating books that you found in your travels. If you looted the Guild’s library you should already have a few books to donate. You can always return when you find more books (you can steal them or even buy them from traders).

When you give him a book you will trigger a cutscene that is based on the content found in that book. There are good books and bad books, and you will find the most in a category based on your character’s alignment.

After you donate 9 books you get a Bright Wizard Hat or a Dark Wizard Hat, depending on which book you donated. Pay attention to what books you donate if you want a particular reward.

However, the quest doesn’t end here, because you can return to give more books whenever you want. Try to find 25 books that are accepted by the teacher to get a Silver Key as a reward. Besides that you will unlock the Education Rules The Nation achievement.

Blue Mushrooms

When you first enter Bowerstone you will notice that a small girl is following you around. Speak to her to start the quest. Follow the girl to her mother and then speak to her to learn about the task.

After that go to Bowerstone Quay to find a witch that can make an antidote for the sick child. From this point your task is to find four special mushrooms which you can get only from certain regions.

For the first Blue Mushroom return to the Picnic Area where you battled the Queen Wasp in Wasp Menace main quest. Here you can find a woman that asks you to make her laugh. Simply choose an expression that will make her laugh and repeat the process a few times until she gives you the mushroom.

When you get back to Lookout Point you can find two men that are definitely on mushrooms. Listen to them to learn a clue about the second Blue Mushroom. You find out that is in the Heroes’ Guild area. When you complete the Fishing Lessons side quest you can go to Heroes’ Guild. Head to the Demon Door and fish the mushroom from the pond.

While at the Guild you can start the quest for another Blue Mushroom. Go the Guild Woods and talk to the man that is there. He asks you to deliver a letter to a girl in Oakvale, thus you won’t be able to get the mushroom until you unlock that area (unless you kill the man on the spot and take the mushroom from him).

When you reach Oakvale go to the east side of the town to find the girl by the well. Give her the letter and tell her who sent it (or lie and say that is yours). After that you can return to Guild Woods to collect your fourth Blue Mushroom.

Latter in the game you will reach an area named Barrow Fields. Here you can find a trader that is willing to sell you your third Blue Mushroom for 1500 Gold (or you can steel it if that suits your play style).

Next, go to Bowerstone Quay and give the mushrooms to the witch in exchange for a cure. Return to the woman in Bowerstone South to collect your reward and complete the quest.

Hero Dolls

In total there are 7 Hero Dolls that you must collect by winning various mini games found in different regions of Albion. The games must be won with a very short time on the clock or with a really high score in order to receive the extra prize consisting of a Hero Doll. Some of the games can even be cheated by using the Slow Time spell (with the exception of the one found in Bowerstone).

First you need to get inside the tavern in Bowerstone South. In here you can play a mini game named Card Pairs. The game is simple: match the cards on the table in less than 40 seconds. However, you must beat it under 30 seconds to get the special prize, which may take more than a few attempts. When you beat it you receive the Briar Rose Hero Doll.

Head outside and speak to the boy to learn what to do with the dolls. He tells you that there are seven of them and if you find all of them you can give them to the Bowerstone teacher in exchange for a rare doll.

The second mini game is Coin Golf and can be played in the tavern in Oakvale. The goal of the game is to push the coin on the table inside four marked spots in no more than 13 moves without dropping the coin from the table.

For the first hole hit the glass on your left at a wide angle. For the second hole hit the left side of the beer mug that’s on your right. If you’re lucky you can get the third hole in one shot. To do that you have to shoot the coin towards the right side of the glass that’s on the edge of the table (left side). To get the coin near the fourth hole hit the glass that’s close to you on the right side. If the shot is powerful enough you should get the coin in the hole with another move. If you keep the number of your moves low enough you receive a Whisper Hero Doll.

You can play the third game in Twinblade’s Camp. The game is named Spot the Addition, and as the name implies, you need to find which object was added to a series of objects that were previously shown to you.

The game is tricky since more objects are added each round. However, there are is a limited number of objects and after a few attempts you should learn all of them. You have to beat all five rounds in less than 35 seconds, but if you manage to get a very good time (or cheat to get it) you are rewarded with a Twinblade Hero Doll.

The next mini game can be played in the Knothole Glade tavern. It is called Card Sorting and the objective is to point the cards on the table in ascending order as fast as possible (under 35 seconds).

There are seven rounds and each time a new card is added (starting from three cards). The game can be difficult because you waste time while moving the red cursor. Therefore, use the Slow Time spell to easily defeat the game. You win a Scarlet Robe Hero Doll if you manage to get a good score.

You can get the next doll when you gain access to the Arena. Simply buy the Thunder Hero Doll from the merchant, but do that before accepting to fight, because the Arena will be locked after the battle. If you miss it you can buy one later in Bowerstone North.

When you have access to Hook Coast head to the tavern to play a game of Shove Ha’penny. The objective of the game is to push four coins forward on a numbered board. The stripes on the board are worth a certain score.

You need to calculate the push so that the coins stop in the highest numbered stripes. The board is made out of wood, and if you look closely you can see the wood lines. Try to move the targeting arrow close to the last line of the first stripe to score ten points. The minimum score is 20, but if you impress the gamesmaster with a high score he gives you a Maze Hero Doll.

The final doll is in Snowspire Village and you can win it at Coin Golf. The game is the same as in Oakvale, but the wine glasses and the beer mugs have a different arrangement. Beat the game in few enough strokes and you get a Scythe Hero Doll.

Once you have all seven Hero Dolls return to Bowerstone South and speak with the teacher. Hand over all your dolls to receive the rare Jack of Blades Hero Doll and to unlock the Education Rules The Nation achievement.

For the combat multiplier there is an easier way to do it rather than running back and forth through the Hobbe Caves, do the infinate gold exploit in Bowerstone South to get enough gold to buy a Master Bow, go to the area where the Earth Troll spawns just outside the Demon door and stand far enough away from the Earth troll so that it despawns, stand there and charge your bow for about 2 mins and then move fowards so the troll spawns and hit it, your combat Multiplier should be about 20+ if you do it right. :)
