Description
If you've ever wanted to start the game as a crab, now's your chance.

This mod currently adds 5 (6 with prerelease content enabled) new 'Body Type' mutations, at the bottom of the mutation selection menu during character creation. You can choose one (and only one!) of these at the beginning of a game to exchange your humanoid body plan for another. Some are beneficial, others are detrimental, and one of them is downright masochistic to play as. I intend to add more, but the mod as it stands is functional and fun.

Currently this mod allows you to change your body type to:
  • A charioteer (legs replaced by wheels)
  • A crab (crab)
  • A hovering octohedron (yes, this is how it's spelled in the base game)
  • A quadrapedal gait (with cute tail)
  • A 1-dimensional being (phrase in parentheses)

There's an extra body type if you enable prerelease content which is not included by default because it's too silly. I won't spoil that one though ;)

These body types are intended as sort of a 'base' you can add on to via mutations if you want. For instance, if you wanted to play as a porcupine, you could do that by taking Quills and a quadrapedal body type. Some of the more unusual body types have physical mutations they cannot use for some reason or another, but for the most part everything should be available.

This mod does NOT change your player's graphical appearance. I would suggest combining this mod with Choose Your Fighter or its expansions to switch your graphical appearance to something more appropriate. Remember that you can use 'blueprint IDs' with CYF, for instance entering 'Eyeless King Crab' to appear as a crab.

There may be bugs, please report them in the Bug Reports discussion on this page!
...also yes, the 1-dimensional body type causes some graphical errors in paperdoll inventory mode. I am 90% sure this is a problem with the base game and not the mod.

enable prerelease content was removed from the options in 1.0.
