Description
Immerse yourself in an authentic World War II radio soundscape. This mod brings you over 2500 audio files, which, when played consecutively, would run non-stop for over a week. While there are already many radio mods available, let me highlight the key features of this mod:

  • Music Stages: The music played in different countries is divided into various time phases. For smaller countries, these phases include events like the conquest by Germany and the subsequent liberation by the Americans. I have ensured that during the occupation, only music approved by the occupiers is played. For larger countries, the music files are organized by their release years. Each war year adds new music to the playlist that was newly released at that time, while older tracks gradually disappear from the playlist.

  • News Broadcasts: My mod includes not only music but also news and speeches from prominent statesmen broadcast during the war. The news about the war events is usually not played on the exact day but is accurate to the week or month. For very important war events, such as D-Day, the speeches are broadcast on the exact day. So, having some historical knowledge can be beneficial. Unlike other radio news mods, you don’t have to switch on each news broadcast individually and then switch back to the music channel to hear music again. In my mod, the news is automatically mixed with the music.

  • Christmas Events: Another feature of my mod is the Christmas events that take place on the major radio stations. Now you can have the perfect music to accompany your Christmas tree.

  • Advertisements: There are advertisements for various products from that era on the main radio stations, making the radio experience even more immersive.

Broadcasting Range Example
I have decided to set the broadcasting ranges of the individual radio stations lower than they were in reality. This is to encourage players to switch to another station, especially in bad weather when the range is further reduced. Here is an example map to give you an idea of the ranges:

Technical Limitations
  • You have to start a new game.
  • The game updates the music and news list every few weeks. When this update happens, you will loose connection to the radio station. Just reconnect and everything is up to date.

    A big thanks to SeniLix. Although I didn’t use any of his audio files, his radio mod inspired this idea. If my mod is too large for you, I recommend checking out SeniLix’s radio mod. Here you can choose which radio station’s music files to download, saving space on your hard drive.

MaGlas ....:steamthumbsup:sehr schöne Mod:steamthumbsup:...Kann man die Lautstärke der Mod erhöhen,sodass man die Musik und die Nachrichten lauter hören kann?ich empfinde die als zu leise wenn ich auserhalb des BOOTes bin auf See.

It's a great mod and quite well done but I wish the news was a bit more common... hearing a news broadcast is like winning the lottery with this mod

hey thank you for the idea, I'll try that. I had another one that could solve my issue but it's outside the scope of this mod, it will be a playlist button that appear on the interface with the fonction to switch channel to track quickly the one we want to hear.

in: Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\494840\3342143865\Assets\Radio you will find all the audio files. They are named after author, songname and year of release.

There isn´t an real value you can change, to change the posibility of news. The only way to increase the chance for more news, is to create copys of the news files, so they are more of them in the folder. This way the chance gets higher, that one of them will play. You will find the files in the path I posted above. Search all countrys for a folder called "Broadcast". Copy/past all .ogg files to create a copy.

Can you see the song names anywhere? Maybe in the files or a playlist? I'm really into this type of music and would love to listen it on my headphones when I'm not playing Uboat

Excelent mod, still working well.
If you are still around, is it possible on the user side to change something to have less music and more feed news/commentating ?
Or having a in-game notification when there is news feed on one of the channel ? Thank you !

Hej. I subscribed to the mod, but it doesn_t show up in my launcher's modlist. Tried un- and resubbing but didn't help sadly.

please dont raise the volume, vanilla radio is unusable due to its eardrum shattering volume when using First Person
