How to see larger images.

In past Gemcraft guides some friends mentioned not being able to see the details so this is for those who may not know this is possible.

Images are actually very large, 4000px wide. Steam just restricts the view within the guide page.
You can click them for a larger view. Up to your window size.

Also. When clicking an image the overlay view has a URL at the top.


Clicking the URL will open the image in a new window.

• In the steam client it will open a new, small window to show the image.
  You can resize it to your liking and then click on it to zoom in/out.
  
  
• In a browser it will open the image in a new tab or maybe in the same one depending on your browser settings/preferences.

Either way, you can then resize the window to see a larger view.
In the new window view you can also zoom in and then scroll up/down and side to side like a large webpage :D

Why achievements don't count. (Yet)

Just a bit of information.

On the right side of a store page where the features are listed you can see if a game is restricted by Steam's confidence metric.

⠀⠀- Profile Feature Limited

This was implemented by Steam/Valve as a means to fight off "spam games" and trading card abuse in the past. Simply a measure Steam/Valve put in place to check for a game actually being played not just purchased for trading cards or achievement spam thanks to trends of the past.

Unfortunately, it applies to a lot of newer and solo developers without the reputation. And out of their control. Only players can help by buying and playing their game.

I doubt Valve will ever give us the clear details how to help dev's beat this metric as it would allow the abusers to take advantage once again. But their official documentation suggests sales and player engagement.

If you are sure you clicked them all then you could try a reset once it's your final achievement so the lost progress wouldn't make much difference.

Or you could try posting in the discussions for the developer. I remember he asked for a save file for someone else with an achievement problem so they could probably assist that way without the need for a reset.

If you reach out to the developer and give them your save file they can fix it. If I am remembering correctly that was what needed to happen for someone else who posted having the same problem around launch day.
