Introduction/Background
Amongst the ‘OG’ knives, some, like the Karambit and M9, stood out. The Flip Knife has always been one of the slightly less popular knives of the bunch.

All Counter Strike skins, including the M9, Karambit and Flip Knife, have a pattern ID that determines the exterior look of a knife finish. Knife finishes like ‘Crimson Web’ and ‘Case Hardened’ reflect this pattern ID the best.

Throughout the years, more knives have appeared with a Crimson Web finish and pattern guides have been made for these knives by people like Remix. See here for example; the Nomad Knife Crimson Web pattern guide made by Remix.

Knives like the Flip Knife however, seem to be lacking pattern guides when it comes to Crimson Web finishes. This is likely due to the lack of popularity back in the day and the characteristics of the Flip Knife (ring on blade, thin blade), that make it hard to rank the different patterns.

There might be no existing pattern guide for Flip Knife Crimson Webs, but the community somewhat agreed on what the number 1 pattern of the Flip Knife Crimson Web would be; pattern ID 280. This idea was backed by OG collectors like roflmonster and MVPHAS in addition to certain reddit threads.

This pattern guide should shine a light on all of the different Flip Knife Crimson Web patterns. It is for the community to decide which patterns are the most desirable and therefore worth the most overpay. Arguments can be made for multiple patterns to be crowned as the number 1 best pattern Flip Knife Crimson Web!

It is important to note that this pattern guide only focuses on play side webbing and does not take back side webbing into account!

This pattern guide attempts to rank Flip Knife Crimson Web patterns in different tiers. These tiers have been classified based upon the pattern guide for the Nomad Knife Crimson Web by Remix and the existing tier system used by the BetterFloat extension for CSFloat. Furthermore, all pattern ID’s and data have been collected via the CSFloat database and in-game inspects. Screenshots have been generated by the Screenshot-tool by Skinport.
Three-Tier-System Explained
As mentioned in the Introduction, this three-tier-system is based on the ranking system used by the BetterFloat extension for CSFloat and the Nomad Crimson Web pattern guide made by Remix.

For a clear explanation between the difference of a 'real' and a 'fake' web, you are referred to the Nomad Crimson Web pattern guide by Remix :) The concept is the exact same with the Flip Knife!

Tiers
This pattern guide consists of the following tiers:

No Webbing, Tier 1 Single Web, Tier 2 Single Web, Tier 3 Single Web, Tier 1 Double Web, Tier 2 Double Web, Tier 3 Double Web, Tier 1 Triple Web, Non Existent Patterns.

Criteria
Before I start listing the different patterns belonging to the different tiers, here are the 'extra' criteria I applied while ranking the different patterns!

- A web is taken into account when part of the center of the web is visible on the play side of the knife

- The presence of the center of a centered web at the height of the ring on the Flip Knife blade ranks it as a Tier 2 Single Web. When the center of a centered web is above ring height, it is ranked as a Tier 1 Single Web.

- When the center of a web touches the edge of the blade in any way, it is ranked as a Tier 3 Single Web.

- When the center of a web isn't exactly centered, but also doesn't touch the edge of the blade, it is ranked as a Tier 2 Single Web.

- When the center of a web is centered, but at the top of the blade, it is NOT ranked as a Tier 1 Single Web. Rather, it'll be ranked as a Tier 2 or 3 Single Web, depending on the exact position of the center of the web.

- When the center of a web falls under the ring of the Flip Knife, it is NOT counted as a pattern with a web on the play side.

- As there is only 1 pattern in existence (525) with true triple webbing on the play side, it is ranked as a Tier 1 Triple Web.

- Fake webs are NOT taken into account for the ranking of the different patterns.

- The list of the patterns inside of a tier are NOT ranked from best to worst or worst to best. There are tons of close calls and very similar patterns inside of the same tier. Which pattern is the 'best' inside of a tier is very subjective and up to buyer/seller/admirer.

Patterns
This section lists all 1000 Flip Knife Crimson Web patterns, categorized in different tiers. The patterns within tiers are listed from lowest to highest pattern ID. Each tier comes with a picture of a good example of the tier in question.

Conclusion
This pattern guide has hopefully cleared up some of the uncertainty regarding Flip Knife Crimson Web patterns and tiers! Which pattern should be considered the best pattern is up for the community to decide. This also means pattern 280 can still be considered the number 1 pattern, but I doubt many people will argue this. Some will argue pattern 525 is the best, since this is the only pattern with 3 play side webs. Others might argue one of the Tier 1 Double Web patterns is the best pattern, due to the alignment and centering of the webs. I hope you enjoyed this pattern guide, even though i'm 7-8 years late! :)

Feedback is very much welcomed, especially regarding criteria and the ranking of Tier 1/2/3 Double Web patterns! Feel free to post feedback in the comments or hit me up on twitter @BCRCS2 :)
