Auto Bhop Command
By 6ixsvp
Hello everyone,

I wanted to share a simple command that will enable autobhop in your game every time you play. Here’s how you can set it up:

Step 1: Locate Your Left 4 Dead Files

Navigate to your Left 4 Dead installation directory using this common path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead

Step 2: Find the Configuration Folder
Once you're in the Left 4 Dead directory, go to:
\left 4 dead\left4dead\cfg

Step 3: Create and Edit the Configuration File
Create a new text file and name it autoexec.cfg. If prompted, confirm any pop-ups by clicking "Yes" or "OK."
Open the autoexec.cfg file and paste the following commands:

bind space "+bhop"
alias +bhop "alias _special bhopJump; bhopJump"
alias -bhop "alias _special"
alias bhopJump "+jump; wait; -jump; wait; _special"

3. Save and close the file

Step 4: Load the Configuration in Game
Start Left 4 Dead and enter a match.
Open the developer console and type exec autoexec to activate autobhop.

And that's it! Autobhop should now be enabled every time you play.

For

alias -bhop "alias _special"

to stop you would simply do -jump

I might be wrong, haven't tested the code, excuse me.

And since there's no spaces

bind key -bhop

is enough in both cfg and console to work.

Is it really beneficial to execute +jump twice?

_special bhopJump; bhopJump

Also

alias -bhop "alias _special"

would execute the +jump, but in this case ask the console what the alias _special does.
since
alias _special
just prints
what it has in store to offer
in this case
execute:
bhopJump; bhopJump
