Introduction
This guide tries to offer condensed information to allow you to 100% The Casting of Frank Stone as easily as possible. Like all narrative choice games, branching pathways can make clear solutions hard, so if you have feedback please do let me know in the comments on how things can be improved.

This is not a collectable guide. I have offered general advice on them but not locations of each individual one. I managed to get all but 2 collectables on my first playthrough with no guides. Try exploring thoroughly and use the extra tools from beating the game to mop up the rest.

I will continue to update the guide as I myself 100% the game.
Single Chapter Specific
Chapter 2
-Fellow Traveler: "Madi picked up the hitchhiker"
During Chapter 2, when driving past the hitchhiker, choose to STOP.

-Motif: "Played a familiar theme on the piano."
In Chapter 2, when you take control of Madi after entering the mansion, head up stairs to the first landing and interact with a torn piece of paper on a table. Then head into the room on the second floor and play the song on the piano.

Chapter 3
-Five Finger Discount: "Jaime stole money from Bonnie."
When Bonnie enters the room and introduces herself for the first time, be Jovial with her and make her angry. She will storm off and you can search her bag and steal the money and unlock the achievement. JOVIAL -> SHOCKED -> SERIOUS -> STEAL

-8 Bit Hero: "Got the high score on the arcade machine."
In Chapter 3, inside the Drug Store you will find an arcade machine at the back with a Space Invader type game. Get a score of over 5020 and the achievement will unlock. The bonus green ships along the top are worth 100 so will speed up earning this achievement if you can shoot them.

Chapter 5
-Lumpkin and Livin': "Learned that Tom stopped drinking due to Sam's kindness."
In the first chapter, if Sam was nice to Tom and got him to go get help then later on in this chapter when searching through the newspapers, you can find a cassette tape. Play it on the radio to the right on another worktop.

Chapter 9
-Bad Dog: "Found Merlin's collar."
In chapter 9, after fixing the boiler you can find it through the next few corridors on the right side, opposite a red lit window.

Chapter 10
-Tsap …eht ot Kcab: "Chris was sent to 1980, though something went wrong."
This achievement involves sending Chris back to 1980 but messing up the QTE's to do so, and choosing to not help Stan. This will result in her dying and you get the achievement.

-Stan of Cleaves: "Stan was cut into pieces in the horologium."
Have Chris stay in 2024 and there will be a quick time event involving Stan. Failing this will result in Stan dying and earning this achievement.

Chapter 13
-Escape Artist: "Freed Jaime from the hook." -Memento Mori: "Jaime's jaw was removed by Frank Stone."
In Chapter 13, as Sam search the storm drains thoroughly before leaving to the next area and you can find Jaime if he has survived to this chapter. For one achievement you must save him by warding off Frank Stone with the camera. For the other achievement, fail saving him with the camera and let him die.
Multi-Chapter Specific
-Easy Money: "Jaime accepted the bribe from Sam."
In Chapter 1, Sam must be beat up by Frank Stone by failing the QTEs resulting in a much darker personality of Sam.
Later in Chapter 3, refuse to leave the mill and be stubborn when Sam crashes the filming session (RELUCTANT -> COMPLIANT). Eventually he will offer you money to leave, and you can take the bribe for the achievement.

-Friendly Fire: "Sam shot Madi."
Madi MUST drink in Chapter 2. For this achievement, as Linda, do not take Sam's gun in Chapter 8. Then later in Chapter 12 as Madi KEEP the pendant. Now when Madi gets hypnotised in Chapter 14 (after accusing Augustine and saving Stan), choose to shoot Madi as Sam. I believe Chris has to be sent back to 1980 for this.

-Phagocytosis: "Madi was hypnotised and absorbed by Frank Stone."
Madi MUST drink in Chapter 2. For this achievement, Madi must KEEP the pendant in Chapter 12. Then in Chapter 14 she will become hypnotised (after accusing Augustine and saving Stan). Do nothing to stop her from being killed by Frank Stone. I believe Chris has to be sent back to 1980 for this.

-Nothing Personal: "Shot Augustine."
In Chapter 8, when playing as Linda steal the gun from Sam. Madi must be dead before you get to the generator repair in Chapter 14, I recommend failing to vent the hologrium as her. When playing as Linda, successfully repair the generator in 2024 and in the elevator choose to go DOWN then do the QTE segment and you will shoot Augustine.
Survival and Death
-Entity Displeased: "Everyone survived."

To unlock this achievement you want to try and keep everyone alive by passing all skill checks, successfully fend off the monster with the camera, keep relationships as positive as possible and make wise choices. You can use the Cutting Room Floor feature to earn this easily by replaying any mistakes.

Required:
  • Everyone must survive in the 80's (Chris as well if she goes back).
  • Sam can die to Frank Stone in the present (2024) and you can still get this achievement. - This was patched. Stan must die instead of Sam.
  • Linda and Madi must escape Frank Stone in the present (2024) and made it to the campfire in the woods. If Chris is in 2024 she must make it to the campfire as well.
  • Stan, Augustine, and Bonnie do not matter.

-Merciless Killer: "Madison, Jaime, Chris, Sam and Linda were killed."
There are many ways to obtain this achievement, (almost) everyone just needs to die in a playthrough. Only 1 variant/timeline character of Linda and Sam need to die.
Easy way to obtain this achievement:
  • Chapter 5, Jaime's death - when playing as Jaime, choose to confront Frank Stone (fail QTEs if you have the firecrackers).

  • Chapter 8, Madi's death - When playing as Madi, fail to turn off the horologium.

  • Go back to 1980 as Chris immediately.

  • Chapter 13, Chris' death & past Sam's death - Fail to use the camera as Linda. This will result in Chris dying.
  • Later in Chapter 13, when playing as Sam, just walk into Frank Stone when you first encounter him.

  • Chapter 14, 2024 Sam death & 2024 Linda death - Save Stan from Stone, by choosing to sacrifice yourself.
  • Then later in Chapter 14, when playing as Linda after Frank Stone has killed Stan, fail to repair the generator and then fail the subsequent QTEs.
"Power of Two"
-Power of Two: "Maximised Jaime and Chris' relationship."
To earn this achievement, get Chris and Jaime's relationship as high as possible by Chapter 5 as they may not interact much past this point to build relationship points up.

Examples good choices:
  • Stay on script near the start of the game (DEFIANT).
  • Side with Chris in disagreements with Linda over the arm gag (COMPLIANT).
  • Choose PUZZLED -> SUSPICIOUS during Chapter 3 after returning from the mill. This avoids a negative relationship point for not being interested in Frank Stone.
  • Choose the drugstore first in Chapter 3 and convince Jaime to talk to the clerk (ENCOURAGING).
  • Do not steal the camera in Chapter 3 (COMPLIANT).
  • Do not act insecure about Robert and Chris during your playthrough.
  • When talking to Robert in Chapter 5 at the generator, choose IMPATIENT.
  • Later in Chapter 5, when Chris is filming the hand in a jar, choose SHOCKED -> APPRECIATIVE to keep the relationship together. The achievement earned here if perfect run performed!

Additional tips for imperfect runs:
If fleeing as Jaime against Frank Stone, you must not punch Jaime when he returns (fail the combat attack on Jaime as Chris).

If Jaime has the firecrackers he can try and rescue Chris from the portal and survive which may boost relationship!
Collectables
You can check progress on the Cutting Room Floor flowchart and also mop up collectables from there!
In The Casting of Frank Stone there are clear divisions when leaving to a next zone making you hold the interact button. These are mini points of no return so explore first before continuing through these areas.
-The Champion: "Collected all The Champion artifacts." -The Storyteller: "Collected all The Storyteller artifacts." -Murder Mill: "Collected all Murder Mill artifacts." -That Belongs in a Museum: "Collected all Artifacts."
These achievements are all unlocked for finding all artifact collectables in the game, one achievement for each category plus one for all of them. These are general objects/clues you can interact with in the environment that help piece together various bits of information. They can be notes, wall paintings, etc.
You can check progress on the Cutting Room Floor flowchart to mop up collectables!

-Plangonologist: "Collected all Relliks."
Relliks are dolls of the OC killers in Dead by Daylight. You can find 11 throughout the game, and a 12th one after the credits in a post-credit scene).

-Plunderer's Instinct: "Collected all Trinkets"
There are 12 Trinkets to find, they resembled killer add-ons from Dead by Daylight and they are found inside little wooden boxes (that resemble chests from Dead by Daylight) throughout the game.
After you complete the story once, you will unlock the perk Plunderer's Instinct that will help you locate them.
Skill Checks
-Skills? Check!: "Succeeded 5 Skill Checks in a row."
Complete 5 of the quick time event skill checks in a row without missing one. Should come fairly naturally!

-It's All in the Reflexes: "Succeeded 10 Great Skill Checks."
Great skill checks are earned by hitting the button within the white coloured portion of the success target. If you missed 10 on a playthrough you can always replay sections to get more, generators being a good way to get lots.
All Seeing
-All Seeing: "Unlocked every branch in the Cutting Room Floor."
This achievement is unlocked for completing the Cutting Room Floor flowchart to completion. This involves unlocking all 224 branching pathways.

This will take a while but keep replaying and finding alternative routes!

You can quit to menu after the choice is made in most instances. The achievement tracker doesn't update until you load into a chapter and play some more, so if you are having trouble with the achievement unlocking try that.

Story
Some of these may be missable but if generally playing where everyone will survive, these are likely to occur.
-Savior: "Sam stopped Frank Stone."
During the end of the Chapter 1, succeed all quick time events/skill checks alongside combat encounters against Frank Stone and Sam will shoot him, earning this achievement.

-Open Sesame: "Solved the gate puzzle."
To open the gate you will need to find the missing rolling piece in chapter 6 (by finding a key and other objects) and slot it into the puzzle. The combination is Stuff related to Hillbilly in Dead by Daylight therefore the solution is House - Tree - Club.

-Camera Shy: "Warded off the Killer with the 8mm camera."
Unlocked after first using the camera on Frank in the past. You will earn this naturally.

-Back to the Past: "Chris was successfully sent back to 1980."
In Chapter 8, as Madi, vent the green glowing machine correctly to get Chris out and then later proceed to send her back using the machine again immediately and without failing any QTEs.

-Tinkerer: "Repaired all generators."
There are 3 generators in total and all will be repaired if you play a playthrough keeping everyone alive.

-The Campfire: "Completed the story."
Just complete the story once for this achievement!

For "Entity displeased" achievement, Sam can NOT die in the present (2024). Sacrifice Stan in projector room instead. Stan will die anyway, also Bonnie in 1980, it's inevitable.

Have Madi dead and time out in the elevator picking up or down after repairing gen. That's how I did it I think.

I feel like i'm being a bit dumb with this one but how do i get Linda captured? does Madi need to be dead already?

Merlin, I'm pretty sure you need to choose Insecure->Petty during Chapter 5 for Feelings for Linda.
