How to play Sven Coop with friends

As the game's name suggests, this is a coop game! How to play with your friends is never explained really unless you find videos on youtube. So that's why this guide is here!

Invite your friends to coop!

Ever wanted to play Half-Life with your friends and not need to create dedicated servers and go through 30 minute processes just to play? This is the guide for you!

IMPORTANT INFO: If you cannot open the console, go to SVEN COOP, right click it, go to properties, launch optines and add -console , it will automatically open the console once you join the game. IF YOU CLOSE IT, YOU WONT BE ABLE TO OPEN IT BACK, SO YOU'LL HAVE TO REJOIN THE GAME!
Step 1: Creating the Server
To create the server, most obviously, select Start New Game, and now you have 2 choices: Play random maps made by valve and sven coop, or play THE CAMPAIGN ITSELF.

To play the campaign, you must choose sp_campaign_portal. For everything else, choose any other maps you see and want to play on.
(YOU MAY ALSO CONFIGURE THE SERVER SETTINGS BY PRESSING GAME. YOU CAN SET A PASSWORD, NUMBER OF PLAYERS, ETC.)


Step 2: Inviting your friends
Once you loaded in, simply press the console button (default ` (tilde that is right below ESCAPE on most keyboards, if you can't access it go in settings) and COPY YOUR STEAM ID FOUND ON THE 5th ROW IN THE CONSOLE.

Step 3: Invite your friends(acuttaly this time)
Once you've copied the STEAM_ID, send it to your friend. Tell your friend to do the following:
1. Open console
2. input the following: connect ...(your STEAM_ID)

3. WAIT TO LOAD IN AND ENJOY PLAYING TOGETHER!


Note: I did this guide for the people that can't find the video on youtube or spent lots of time trying to make a dedicated server for no reason.

put in launch options "-console" it opens the console when u start the game just dont close it

yeah the console is a bit buggy in Sven Coop as if you do not have the tilde(`) key you cant really access it, I don't know how to help with this one.

can't open console and the game not have advanced setting for enable or open console
so i'm give up.
