Cannot Select Team and Class When Joining a Match FIX

Cannot access class selection after joining? This fix can help

What is this bug?

Sometimes, if you do not connect to the casual server quick enough, the following message will be displayed,

Cannot can't change class at this time / can't change teams at this time

despite the match being in process.

First of all, you should check your team and class changing keys in settings, in case their are blank.

If everything is correct, but pressing them does nothing, proceed with the following solution:

1.Go to TF2 Settings and enable Developer console:



2. Open the console with ~ on your keyboard and bind a desired key to the following command:

bind key spectate

(Example: bind m spectate)

3. Now, when encountering the bug, just press the key you selected and class menu should pop up!
