About
This mod increases the FPS by overriding the default "worst allowed FPS" from 22 FPS to Unity's target frame rate. It achieves this by reducing the number of ticks processed per frame, resulting in a more stable and higher FPS, and almost unchanged TPS.

As a first approximation:
The changes of the mod take effect only if load is high and cpu cannot handle it. In this conditions vanilla allows FPS to be 22 at best, this FPS drop frees time to do more TPS. This mod allows FPS to be 60 at best, so there will be less freed time.
There is a deal: buy extra FPS for time, that vanilla assigned for TPS during FPS drop.
Installing this mod, you buy as much FPS for this price as possible without allowing cpu to just wait.

Compatibility
The mod may not work only if something changed the 'TickManagerUpdate' function. It can be just some other optimization mod. Rocket Man, Performance Optimizer and Performance Fish are surely compatible with FPS Stabilizer.

I noticed that for me, at 3x speed, because it forces the game to try and match the 2x speed, it lowers the TPS down to the same exact rate. Unfortunately, that just means 3x and 2x are now the same (and, similarly, the dev 4x speed is as well).

Мод рабочий, фпс больше, действительно. Но от этого мода ваша игра просто будет медленней. на 4 скорости у меня tps 100, то есть игра по факту ускорена всего в полтора раза на последней скорости. Не знаю, есть ли в этом моде большой смысл, ведь вы банально устанете ждать окончания всех процессов. Хотя на ютубе я и встречал людей, которые играют в 15 фпс и 30 тпс. на первой скорости. Может этот мод для них, но не для меня

Why wouldn't it? It takes TPS (how fast the game really runs) for FPS (how many frames you see.) It's not magic, and it actually makes your game slower.

This mod is witchcraft and I love it. 27 pawn 8 year colony with 30+ animals with 15-22fps, after the install shot right back to 50fps with only 20tps drop. Feels like a new map :)

I wasn't sure how well this would work, but my 20 person 11 year colony went from 15 fps on 3x speed to 30fps lol.

I think there must be a bug here.
If I set the frame rate very low, the TPS also drops significantly in sync, which doesn't make sense at all.
The TPS drops from 900 to 100 due to the frame rate limit—this should be a bug. Could you please take a look and see where the issue might be?
