₋ 1 Introduction

Sv_pure has always been a nightmare shutting off anything that isn't a custom HUD but don't worry with Pilso's "Modern Casual Preloader" we'll be able to bypass Sv_pure's server restrictions. In this guide I'll teach you how to install it, really isn't that hard and it unlocks endless modding possibility for causal Team Fortress 2.
₋ 2 Custom Folder

To begin make sure that you have already have a custom folder set up inside of Team Fortress 2 if you already have one you can move onto the next step however if you don't or you're unsure then follow the instructions below.

  1. Firstly find Team Fortress 2 in your library

  2. Next click the gear icon on the right > Manage > Browse local files

  3. Locate the TF folder and open it

  4. After that locate the "custom" folder if you don't have one don't panic you can just create one (Right click > New > Folder > name it custom)

Boom you've got a custom folder now you'll need to place every mod you download in here or it won't work.
₋ 3 Pre-loader Set up & Modding

Finally we may now set up the casual pre-loader afterwards you'll be able to drag and drop mods like no tomorrow! Unfortunately I do need to mention this Preloader does come with a few downsides the """"worst"""" is that your game boot up time will be increased only by like 20-30 seconds.

Everything used in this section is linked below.

Pilso's "Modern Casual Preloader" https://gamebanana.com/wips/79779
Team Fortress 2 GameBanana page https://gamebanana.com/games/297

WinRAR https://www.win-rar.com/download.html?&L=0 (For exacting files/mod files)

  1. Firstly go to Pilso's "Modern Casual Preloader"

  2. locate the latest version and download it.

  3. Afterwards Extract the file

  4. Once Extracted place every file into your custom folder (Team Fortress 2/tf/custom folder.)

  5. Last step Find Team Fortress 2 in your library > click the gear icon on the right > Properties > Launch Options > Enter "+exec preloader.cfg"
₋ 4 Modding Time!!!!

This'll be the easiest part simply just find something on Game Banana you like I'd personally recommend staying on Game Banana as because I've not tested other modding websites however if you'd like you may add whatever you please from where you'd like.

If you'd like to download a mod simply just repeat exactly what you did to install the preloader. Extract the mod's files and place every file into your custom folder (Team Fortress 2/tf/custom folder.) boot up tf2 and join a server and boom miku as pyro tf2.

For this explain I'll be using usernamecipher's PSP PDA MOD in causal but you may use whatever
usernamecipher's PSP PDA https://gamebanana.com/wips/79779

  1. Firstly download your mod's zipfile and extract it

  2. Then place the extracted mod files into your custom folder

  3. Finally just boot up tf2 let the preloader.. .load? then join any game and blam silly mod (please note that this is client sided so only you can see the changes)
₋ 5 Conclusion

That's it you can now officially join valve server's with silly wacky mods DO NOT DOWNLOAD FEMPYRO!!!!!!! before you go if this helped you in anyway please consider clicking that favourite button so other people can see this guide!

and maybe give an award? it'll mean a lot! 🙏

this took me 4 hours lmao anyway happy modding!

i saw a tutorial that told me that i should put the files in the tf folder and i fucked up my whole game but now i fixed it i just had to make steam check the files

Saccboi is right, if you simply just delete all the preloader's files and any mod you've installed with it it should remove it completely. :mafia:
