Transfer RDR2 savegame from PC to another PC

After this guide you will know how to save and transfer you RDR2 save game to another PC.

How to save your Game to a USB Stick or external hard drive

You go to:
Documents > Rockstar Games > Red Dead Redemption 2

then you safe the folder "Red Dead Redemption 2" to a USB Stick, or external hard drive.

On the new PC, you normally install RDR2 and then you go to the same location (Documents > Rockstar Games) and then you simply paste the RDR2 folder in to the Rock Star Games folder.

Then start the game, and you will have the same settings and the same save game, like on your old PC.

This also works with all other games from Rockstar Games, e.g. GTA 5. It's always the same procedure.

Hi, You have to download Red Dead Redemption 2 first, and launch the game once, before you can paste in you save game.

so hey i formatted my pc and i cant find the Documents > Rockstar Games > Red Dead Redemption 2 file i found it before i saved it through email but now i dont know where to put it hahaha

Yes you can send the folder via email, it’s important for you that you save the folder

This only applies to Windows, not Linux installations.
