Description


Take a curious journey through 4 distinct realms, filled with lots of spooky surprises… and some monsters :)
241 teeth included.

For concerns, or if you just want to have an idea of what you're getting into!




Each zone has its own sensibility in track design, and will have different rules.
Spooky Zone: Loops, boosts, pipes, split tracks
Meat Zone: Timing-based tracks, "interesting" obstacle navigation, "brake" mechanics
Eldritch Zone: Odd angles, geysers, curves, ramps, water hazards
Golden Zone: No tech, tough tracks, odd obstacle navigation and curious setup

I've made some improvements to try to address other settings, but your experience will be a bit worse.

Ok, I did a SUPER ugly bandaid update to deal with the broken holes, I'll revert it when the bugs are fixed.

Status update: The recent patch broke a lot of end holes; in this map it broke hole 1, 2, 10, 12, 14, and 15.
(Maybe 11, I got a bit frustrated and didn't finish normally lmao)

Going to have to wait for some kind of hotfix.

If you tell me what broke, I can see if I can reproduce it, to fix it.
I will need actual details, though.

(240 FPS and 24 FPS both will actually perform the worst, because they are the extremes. It's not a "beefy PC" thing hah v__v)

This map does suffer a bit from being a very ambitious first project and immediately wanting to try all of the tech. The next few maps I've been working on actually have next to no tech. Because it is VERY ill-behaved, and I want a map or two I don't have to constantly bugfix!

If I had to make a guess, I'd say I spent a good deal more time on the tech, actually. It's tougher than one might think. Especially if you want consistency.

this map would be decent if it actually functioned. spent more time on the vibes than the actual course. first joined in half way through and we were all laughing at things that aren't working how they probably should and i just played on host for this map and only 4 holes in and it's just bugged out lmao i play on 240fps with beefy pc too don't give up though maybe the next one will be great

- Unfortunately can't fix sky volumes randomly breaking, is a tower game bug and should only happen rarely afaik
- Obstacles + golden zone are unlikely to change in this particular map (but can keep in mind)
- I'm glad it was fun because that is priority #1 :)

Thanks, yeah I deleted cuz ~anxiety~ lmao, I do appreciate the detailed feedback. (And I appreciate the positive comments about art and music v__v! It's cool that it all coheses :)!)

Your hole 4's description sounds like 3? I'm assuming the one where you have to land into a small circle off of the big loop.
That one is kind of fucky to adjust because the amount of force of pushes/boosts is tied to your FPS in unreal engine, so it's inconsistent. I've been puzzling over how exactly I would "fix" that for everyone for a while. x/
(It's a very hard shot to hit even when it's working, too.)
I have some vague ideas but undecided, might adjust that one maybe eventually.

14 I agree that it's very slow, it's one of those tweaks that keeps flying under my radar :p

And personally, in the last stage and the last few holes, I don't really like the zig-zagging around the barriers, especially since they're all paired with walls that'll throw you in the opposite direction if you hit them, so it's the only section of this map that I didn't really enjoy playing much.

Also, for some reason, the first time I played through, the third stage's lighting was red, but replaying it now it's blue? not sure what happened there


Besides all this it's still a fun map to play through, even though by the end everyone will leave with a score made mostly out of red numbers from bogeys lolVisual style was great throughtout the whole thing, and the music adds a lot.
