British Rail Class 57

Description
The Class 57 was remanufactured from Class 47s between 1998 and 2004: each loco cost about one-third of the price of a new equivalent. 12 freight locos were built for Freightliner, classified 57/0. In 2002 Virgin Trains ordered 16 passenger locos with more powerful EMD engines and higher top speed. These were used for rescue and dragging electric trains over non-electrified lines. 6 57/6 variants were also built between 2000 and 2003. Most are still in service, with 57004 being the first to be scrapped in 2023.

The model is available from 1998. 28 examples are modelled, in all the liveries I could see.

Features:
- Reversible
- Dirt and rust
- Custom audio
- Each loco is also available as a track asset.

Max speed: 57/0 and 57601: 120 km/h (75 mph). The rest: 152 km/h (95 mph)Power: 57/0 and 57601: 1716 kW (2300 hp). The rest: 2089 kw (2800 hp).
Tractive effort: 260 kN.

Huge thanks to funclive for reviewing the model and providing the RailOps body skin for 57312.

@Maxmegane_CR: do you mean 57602, 604 or 605? If your game is in the right year, it may be something to do with the download. That's just a guess, though.

@bocaan: it looks tempting, I must say. No promises, though. Someone may beat me to it!

tankslapper i know this is a tall order but i had a video pop up on youtube nd it was of a class of locomotive ive never seen before the Class 89 Electric loco commonly called the 'Badger' the video was about how after 20 years they had the old girl running again.

what im getting at is would you by any chance be interested in replicating it into TpF2?

@NLowe: oops, thanks for pointing that out. All factoids must be correct.
