Yak-38 was the first soviet VTOL aircraft that entered service.

This plane entered service in 1976, 2 yeare later then the F14 Tomcat...

No radar very basic avionics safe to say soviet navy wouldnt last a day agains US.

4- VTOL mode

5- Fire cannon

6- Fire rockets
