Yu-Gi-Oh! Dungeon Dice Monsters 2

解説
Dungeon Dice Monsters had a lot of great ideas and overall was a pretty fun game. But it had its faults.

With DDM2 we are looking to recreate that experience from the original DDM but add new gameplay mechanics that focus on more strategy then luck.

We have made it so the gameplay feels less grindy and stagnent while rewarding your decisions in game

Your still rolling dice but you now have more control on what you roll and with our new summoning mechanic you are always making progress in the game state instead of just waiting for the dice to be in your favor.

I believe that the gameplay changes have made for a more exciting and fast paced gameplay experience.

If you loved the original I'm confident you will love the changes

"The Game truly feels like im playing Yugioh but with Dice" - some guy i play-tested with online.

Rulebook should state that card effects are OPT so Mystical elf shouldnt be as busted as you say.

But overall the cards art is more of a guideline. and not a 1 to 1 ratio. But i felt like the elf buff fit the anime interpretation when designing it.

Having just a bunch of stat characters can get a bit boring but i wanted to use classic cards

question on how you have mystical Elf is that a permanent def buff with every cast of the ability and if so thats busted as hell. was also wondering why it wasn't like the actual card that exists

Hey! thank you for the feedback! i agree with your points and your not the only one who suggested some kind of conversion rate. Especially late game when all your monsters are summoned we've felt that it could be a nice mechanic when you are mana screwed.

Leaning towards a 5 for 1 trade.

I'm currently trying to figure out the best way to utilize the dice with the new game. They were originally copies off the original DDM design and how they are formatted.

Yugi and Kaiba feel pretty balanced although Kaiba overall feels much more swingy when it comes to game states.

As for HP i stole the asset from the DDM version but overall you can use it to trade remaining HP where Def is a representation of MAX HP. So cards like Mystical Elf who increase Max HP you would adjust it there.

Ok last thing for real I promise, 1 movement crest face per dice is incredibly little it's like rolling a 6 on any dice and sometimes you just don't roll a 6. I think the pink utility dice should probably be 2 movement faces, 2 ability faces, 1 attack face, and 1 defense face personally. I think that would balance out the decks on offer as well since the Yugi deck has some really crazy abilities especially if it's able to build up the ability crests and get out some of their higher value cards like DMG or DM himself. Kaiba's deck feels really bad in comparison because alot of his cards feel incredibly situational overall outside of Burst Stream being a bit better than DMA in MOST situations and M Hats sometimes being worse than Ring of Destruction but if the Yugi player is winning DMA is just free card removal which. I understand his deck is control focused but the other deck doesn't feel viable enough to warrant that much control in his deck.

One last thing cause I forgot. I don't know if some of my issue is user error and there's some rules from the original DDM I should've known of or used to this but it really did just feel like I got catastrophically unlucky and couldn't do much of anything. The summoning mechanic changes do help a lot in making it so I can actually play my monsters I will say though and I do think that's a huge step up. Also for reference I was utilizing the basic starter decks so maybe that was my fault as well for my lack of movement crests and some issues i've been having but I feel the starter decks and basic rules should be able to give a satisfactory gameplay experience that represents how you're wanting it to play properly especially with them being the only decks on offer.

This is a really cool revamp of the game! I think it does a pretty good job of streamlining the format but I think the rules might need a little clarifications because while there is an HP stat I'm not really sure what it's used for or if you've just taken the mechanic out but it mentions HP and there's nothing on the card detailing that. I think there should also be some way to transfer crests into another crest as I found it incredibly frustrating and infuriating that I lost my first game because for what felt like 10 turns in a row I could not roll a singular movement crest while my opponent just sorta wiped out everything I had with little effort.
