History
Cotton Belt 819 is a L-1 Class 4-8-4 Northern Type Steam Locomotive built by the Railroad's Pine Bluff Shops in 1943, 819 was used to pull Freight Trains for the Cotton Belt until being retired in 1953. 819 was preserved by the Cotton Belt, and it was put on display at the Jefferson County, in the 1980's, the 819 was moved out of her display site and sent to SSW's (Cotton Belt) Pine Bluff Shops for restoration to operating condition. The restoration was completed in 1986 and began to pull excursion trains throughout the years. In summer of 1986, the 819 was featured in the Movie called "The End of the Line" where she play as a minor role, In 1990, the 819 participated to the NRHS Convention where she met up with Union Pacific FEF-3 No. 844, Norfolk & Western Class A No. 1218 and Frisco 4-8-2 No. 1522 the 819 will continue to pull excursions until 1993 when 819 was retired from excursion service, today shes on static display at the Arkansas Railroad Museum and its currently being cosmetically restored.

The GS-7's are 4-8-4 Northern Type Steam Locomotives built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1930 originally for the St. Louis Southwestern Railway (Cotton Belt), during World War II though, SP was looking for a powerful locomotive to haul heavy trains without problems, SSW leased their six 4-8-4's to the Southern Pacific, reclassified as GS-7. They will serve the SP until being retired in 1950's, none didn't made it into preservation.

The GS-8 are 4-8-4 Northern Type Steam Locomotives built by the Cotton Belt's Pine Bluff Shops in 1937, originally as Class L-1. unlike the 1930 built L-1's, they were also leased their four L-1's to the Southern Pacific, reclassified as GS-8. They will serve the SP until being retired in the 1950's, none didn't made it into preservation.
