Scene Building 101 (Using The Fancy Sky Particles)
By Kip
I released some sky particles to the workshop yesterday. So I decided to make a guide on scene building with them.

Step 1:
Launch SFM, and load the map black void.
Step 2:
Add a camera and position it similar to the picture below. This way you will get the most amount of room to work with in your scene.
Step 3:
Choose your lens size. I normally go for 50 - 85 mm because there isn't very much image warp, but if you choose something like 14mm expect a lot of warping. It really depends on what you want to make though. Do some reading on the benefits of different lens sizes.
Step 4:
Right click the viewport, and hover your mouse over "draw game entities". Now uncheck "World brush models". [/previewimg]
Step 5:
Find the sky particle, and add it to your scene. Start it before the scene starts.
Now position it similar to the pictures below.
There's another way to position the sky, but this way gives you the most freedom in particle use.
Step 6
Now that you have your sky all set up, it's time to add props and lighting. Take a look at this basic scenebuild I created in about 30 minutes with the sky we used. Thanks for reading! Happy scene building everyone!!

follow this guide, IGNORE THE PART WHERE IT SAYS OBSOLETE. When I created this sky particle I imported the dota assets like this. (Dota 2 the game on steam, download it on steam, then follow the guide). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=313936526

SFM is now directly available inside the Dota 2 Workshop Tools with native support to all things related to Dota 2.

1. Download & Install Dota 2 Workshop Tools from Steam.
2. Open the Tools.
3. Launch SFM from the toolbar at the top. All Dota 2 content will be readily available for use.
