Team Logo Editor
By 1/6billionth
I've created a web-based Team Logo Editor for F1M24, which is also capable of importing/exporting designs.

It's also possible to use Forza Painter to import any image.

The Team Logo Editor
I have provided two versions of the editor:

Savefile Browser: https://save.f1setup.it/

It does have a desktop app which can help locating and opening saves.

Download here: https://github.com/iebb/F1MSaveApp/releases/

(The easiest way. It can directly manipulate the savefile)
(under "Logo Editor" section of "Custom Team" tab)

(You can edit without the savefiles. Export your creation and you can import it into Savefile Browser)

Import your own image or logo (with FP)
You can create the geometries without FP now. Check the next section.

We can use Forza Painter to convert any image into ellipses, thus making it possible to use in F1M 24.

Steps:
  1. prepare your image in png or jpg format. 256x256 resolution should be pretty enough but anything works.
  2. get forza painter from https://github.com/forza-painter/forza-painter (download zip)[github.com].
  3. drag the image onto forza-painter.
    floatLeft
  4. choose a profile based on tradeoff between quality and time required. the preset c or d should be fine

  5. confirm

  6. there will be a new folder named [filename], and it contains some json files -
[filename].[N].json means it has N shapes. the more shape the better quality is, but there's a risk of crashing the editor if it's too high (should be safe under 1500)

  7. open it with notepad or any other text editor. copy everything
  8. paste the contents into "IMPORT FP"

  9. profit (remember to click the save button!)
Import your own image or logo (without FP)
On July 27, I have implemented a web-based geometrizer which could replace the Forza Painter software.

Just use the "Import Image" button, and choose your configuration between quality and performance - you are one click away from getting your image imported.

Note: webp is currently unsupported.
Applying into your own save
If you are using the web version of Savefile Browser:

  • locate your savefile from %LOCALAPPDATA%\F1Manager24\Saved\SaveGames
  • if you are not sure which to replace, use autosave.sav. you can make backup first
  • drag it onto Savefile Browser, switch to "Custom Team > Logo Editor" tab
  • make changes
  • click save inside the editor
  • click export savefile, and manually replace the savefile with downloaded one.

If you are using the desktop app:

  • selecting your savefile from the left sidebar
  • switch to "Custom Team > Logo Editor" tab
  • make changes
  • click save inside the editor
  • click overwrite savefile, and it will work when you reload save in game.

Really really bad instructions and you don't get any help, I've been working on importing a logo for 3 weeks now and I can't get it done, there are no videos or anything else
