Fennek

Yes, it is finally happening

Fennek is a Artic Fox/Raccoon hybrid who wields the Axe from his former best friend as his main weapon, his gameplay revolves around chaining up combos with your wide variety of attacks and specials.
He mostly takes inspiration from Devil May Cry, Castlevania and Blasphemous.

He can wall cling, his Forward Air can be pressed 3 times for an air combo, Down Tilt can be pressed twice for a slide jump

Neutral Special: Throws the axe like a boomerang, it will automatically return to Fennek after a brief moment or you can manually call it back by pressing the button again (this will turn it into a follow up attack in the way back to Fennek)


Side Special: Its a forward dash, once you hit the oponent, you'll bounce upwards, allowing you to follow up with another attack, you can even use it on the Neutral Special axe projectile


Up Special: in the ground, you'll grab the oponent and pull them downwards, while in the air you'll be launched upwards as long as you hit something or use it on the stage or a platform, otherwise, you wont be able to recover vertically


Down Special: His main gimmick consists on throwing a lantern, it will place itself after bouncing once on the ground, when hitting the opponent or by pressing the button again


By using your other special attacks on it, the lantern will be destroyed and the special attack will be upgraded for that use:

-Neutral Special: Covers the axe in fire allowing it to deal multiple hits until it returns


-Side Special: You'll bounce on the lantern making you go far away horizontally (useful for mobility and follow ups)


-Up Special: Your recovery will send you much higher and can recover without the need of solid ground or a platform, while in the ground, you'll pull the lantern downwards and cause an explosion that can kill the oponent or start a combo depending on the damage %


-Down Special: Allows you to make it explode manually as a remote attack



-To properly recover with Fennek, dont use your Up Special right away, you'll just fall to death if you arent close to the stage, it is recommended to use side special towards a wall and then you can use Up Special after you wall jump
-While his combos are cool, they arent always consistent and his neutral game might be a bit different from the usual, so please, take your time to learn what he does
-If you are both playing as Fennek, you can mutually use each other's lanterns

Fennek might not be a very complex character like my previous ones, but he's much more beginner friendly and easier to learn thanks to that, its up to the player to experiment with the stuff he can do!

Thank you so much for patiently waiting during all these 4 and half years of development, I deeply apologize for taking so long... a lot of stuff happened on my life and there were times where I wasnt sure how to continue the character, but I hope the wait was worth after all this time, I apreciate all of you for having this much patience and for always believing
I cant wait to see what y'all are capable of doing with Fennek and I hope you enjoy my creation
