😅Nothing is growing out of his face, he just styles his beard with what appears to be 2 boar teeth. You can see another one on the other side of his beard

Very few armors the dwarves use are impractical as well. They are just unusual (because they are non-humans), but unusual doesn't mean impractical

With that said, WETA Workshop adopted the plate armor design to spice up the setting for armor throughout the races and for the dwarves they decided to adopt angularity for their concepts. Dwarves are architects and miners and their armor designs reflect their architecture which is most commonly drawn by artists as angular and "art deco"... if anything this is an interesting choice for armor design! And I, for one, am delighted that my favorite setting and my favorite race has its most popular armor design to be angular... because every other setting with dwarfs/dwarves just gives them boring, non-angular armor.

"Industry" is not exclusively relegated to orcs. Gondor has industry. Númenóreans had industry. Rhûn has industry. What you're thinking of is hyper-industrialization: that is exclusively orcish. Again your issue is subjective and that's fine, but please don't make it out to be objective. Objectively, almost all armors you see are lore-breaking since Tolkien specifically stated plate wasn't invented yet and everyone mostly used mail and scale... but that's too boring and nobody wants units in full mail armor for every nation

The armor takes the aesthetics of what we saw in LOTR and flanderizes it IMO.
It's too angular, impractical and looks industrial.
LOTR Dwarves are skilled miners, master artisans and craftsmen.
Industry and mass-producing armor is what orcs do.

Does it? Curb your over-exaggeration and compare WoW dwarves to LotR dwarves. WETA Workshop designs did a phenomenal job with the movie designs in both trilogies and while this is more of a matter regarding personal appeal, an overwhelming majority of people think that. Perhaps you just don't like it on an individual level; doesn't mean anything is 'ruined'

The hobbit films coming out ruined the aesthetics of dwarf factions in every mod.
This looks like something from WOW
