Guide on Mods for AoH2

THIS GUIDE IS NOT ABOUT THE STEAM WORKSHOP.

The Best Mods

Age of History 2 has a lot of mods. But sadly, most of these great mods came before the Steam Workshop support for AoH2. So they aren't here. Now, don't get me wrong, Steam Workshop also has some good mods for AoH2, but they aren't that good in my opinion. Anyways, I don't want you to keep waiting, so here are my top 5 reccomendations:

1) Conquerors
This mod mainly tries to make the game somehwhat like Europa Universalis. This is a great mod for people who are just starting to get on with mods. More things about the mod, what it offers and It's download link can be found here:

2) Bloody Europe
This is a mod which mainly focuses on Europe. But in my opinion, the thing that sets this mod apart from the Europe map on Vanilla AoH2 and other mods is that its amount of provinces.(About 4400)

3) The New Order
This is a mod which covers the topic of: "What if Germany won WW2?" My favorite thing about this mod is it has a giant number of events for a lot of countries. Note: The New Order is actually a mode for the game "Hearts of Iron IV", but the AoH2 community managed to make a mod that is similar to that. Download link:

4) The Second Great War
I don't think i need to make an explanation on what this mod covers. But it sure has a lot of events for every country, especially Germany. Download link:

5) The Gathering Storm
This mod is somewhat like The Second Great War, except this mod is far more like the game Hearts of Iron 4, and has it's events like focus trees. Download Link:

Things to Know Before Trying Them Out

Before you download any of the mods listed above, or any other mod from the Age of History 2 forums, you must read this part.

1) Mods from Forums are like different versions of Age of History 2.
This is the most important thing in my opinion. What this means is, whenever you download a mod from one of the links i provided above, it will come with the entire game. So you will download the entire game, again, AND the mod. So there isn't any additional thing you should do.

2) You Probably Shouldn't Download mods that aren't very popular.
The reason behind this is, although Steam Workshop is a virus-free, and safe place, sadly, the Age of History 2 forums aren't. So there may be viruses in some of the unpopular mods. My advice, always be careful whenever you are browsing the site.

Another advice, don't download mods which aren't in Google Drive.
