Fishing: How to complete the fishing log

This guide is aimed for those who wants to complete the fishing log. It will describe the location of the different fish species along with their apparition frequency.

This guide is aimed for people that wants to complete the Fishing Log.



Fishes can be caught once you've acquired the fishing rod.


To get it, you have to talk to the Fairy at the bottom of the Fairy Village.

There are three fishing locations:

• Koho Village
  
• Fairy Village
  
• Meikan Village

It is important to point out that there are no achievements associated to the completion of the fishing log.

List of fishes and location

Fishes are separated into three different kind:

• Common
  
• Uncommon
  
• Rare

The different fishes available are listed below along with their rarity, their value and their location:

As seen above, almost all the fishes are available everywhere. The only exceptions are:

• Coelacanth: Koho Village
  
• Small Shark: Fairy Village
  
• Moon Egg: Meikan Village

Apparition frequency

I have fished a bit more than 750 fishes so I could get their apparition probability.
A bit of a warning: these percentages might slightly differ from the apparition probability due to the sample size. I also had The Fortunate sigil equipped that increases luck.

All apparition frequencies seem to be the same for all three fishing spots.

I obtained the following apparition frequency for the different rarities:

• Common: 81%
  
• Uncommon: 16%
  
• Rare: 3%

If you fish a Common rarity fish:
