How to install and play multiplayer [BeamMP Mod]
By LordLichi06
Hello!! ive seen a bunch of people on discord and some other places asking this question, so maybe it is useful for somebody :p
This is a very easy to follow simple guide on how to play multiplayer.
* note : this does not teach you how to create your own multiplayer server, that requires a bit of technical knowledge or $$

Clarification
- This guide is made for Windows 10 or 11.

- Ive found this guide for doing it on the steamdeck (and possibly other linux based OS) Guide By Captain Diagram i do not own a steamdeck but it seems this could work.

- Optionally you can follow their official guide here[docs.beammp.com] its much faster but some users might prefer images and arrows telling them what to do

- Feel free to ask any questions in the comments.
Downloading the Beammp Client
You are gonna go here [beammp.com] and then download the beammp client

Installing BeamMP
after downloading, you are gonna open the zip file and double click on the installer

Follow what the installer window says (its not that hard)

By default when you finish the install, it will open

Dont worry about the CMD opening, thats just how it launches

After a few seconds, the normal beamng launcher will appear
Setting up BeamMP
When BeamNG opens now, youll see the regular menu, unlike older beammp versions, the multiplayer button is now on the "More" Section of the main menu

Then when the "More" Section opens up youll finally see the multiplayer button

Now a login screen will appear.
Youll need to create an Account.

If you dont want to create an account, click "Play as guest"

Creating an account [Optional]
Skip this if you want to play as a guest.

For creating an account go to BeamMP Website[forum.beammp.com]

Click on the "Sign Up" button

Then just fill in what it says, then click "Create Account"

You will recieve a confirmation email to the email you added. click the link attached on the email

Now you have an account !
Logging In [Only if you are playing with an account]
Now go back to beamng, then on that login screen, put in the email/username and password you created.

now your game will be logged in (wont need to log in again after closing game) except some rare cases where you get logged out, so for the love of god, remember your password and username.
Picking a server
You will now see something like this:

I will now explain what everything means
The location is where the server is located, meaning you should pick a server which is near to you, that way you will get a better conexion to it

On the right it says how many players are whats the player limit
It also Says what map that server is using

On the top theres a search function

I believe i dont need to explain what the filters do

Since servers can have mods you can limit how many MB the mods are (since it takes a while to download them)

By putting 0MB limit you will only find vanilla maps and no mods

Now you can just search for any server and play on it :p
Thanks for reading
I hope this guide was of use c:
have a good day and lots of fun :p !!
