Mafia III: Definitive Edition. Achievements Fix (Not Tested). Downgrade to last pre-Definition patch 1.09 (24.07.17)

Steps

Delete "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\2K Games" (saves location) folder if it exists!

1. Download the game from Steam.
2. In browser (Steam, Chrome, Edge, etc):

steam://nav/console

3. In console:

download_depot 360430 360431 7395588525091268594
download_depot 360430 360432 7170256794115895686

Note: download speed for the first depot very slow. You cant see progress, but will receive done message.

Files will be here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content
4. Copy its contents to the steam game folder with replace.
5. Right click on game in steam -> Properties -> Launch options
type:

"DiskLetter:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Mafia III\mafia3.exe" %command%

Launch from steam "Play" button.

Do not delete your Mafia 3 1.09 files. In case of game update just put back your 1.09 files again.

Порядок действий

Удалить "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\2K Games" (тут лежат сейвы и конфиги) папку, если она есть!

1. Скачайте Mafia 3 DE из стима.
2. В любом браузере (Steam, Chrome, Edge, etc):

steam://nav/console

3. В консоли:

download_depot 360430 360431 7395588525091268594

Скорость скачивания будет невысокая, чекнуть можно в Диспетчере Задач windows. Консоль предупредит о завершении загрузки.

Скачанные файлы: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content
4. Копировать всё в папку с игрой с заменой.
5. Правый клик по игре в стиме -> Свойства -> Параметры запуска
Скопируйте:

"DiskLetter:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Mafia III\mafia3.exe" %command%

Не удаляйте файлы 1.09. В случае обновления игры нужно будет их заново перенести.

DE edition Pros/Cons

Pros

• Better AF, textures, sharper graphics overall at least at 1080p
  
• Better in-game FPS limiter 30/60 solid if you have enough CPU/GPU power (1.09 lock for 29/58 instead 30/60)

Cons

• Laggy engine sounds (1.09 works fine)
  
• Not all trophies works (1.09 should work fine. Not Tested!)

Small update from me, I played through on patch 1.01 as well but it also didn't work.

you should rename "DiskLetter" to actual letter: C, F, D or whatever disk letter you have mafia installed on

Hey I’m trying to revert back to patch 1.09 and I followed the steps super easy but I keep getting this message after i hit play "the filename directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect. (0x7b)"

I played through the game with patch 1.09 but The New Boss and Family did not pop. I also mostly killed with takedowns for Combat Specialist which I didn't get so the combat achievements probably don't count properly as well.

You mean, they are fixed but you can't track them through out steam?

Hi friend, dunno if you're still looking for an answer to this. You can still get achievements after downgrading to 1.09, but the trophies still aren't counting properly as far as I can tell.
