Draugr Iron Helmet

Release you inner draugr and smite your enemies in style!!!! Your fearsome visage will be the last thing they see before you dispatch those hapless milk drinkers to Sovngarde for an eternity of stale mead and frosted sweet rolls. The Draugr Iron Helm can be crafted with the same materials as the standard iron helm and has stats comparable to the steel helm.

*Note - look for the Ancient Nord Iron Helmet in the iron crafting menu

Also, for those adventurers among you who are not concerned with the tactical feasibility of wearing horns on your head in a close quarter combat situation, I’ve taken a cue from grimreefer 24601’s mod “Headgear with Circlets and Masks” and intentionally glitched this helm so you can use a variety of horn mods such as Th3Mut4nt’s” Asaroth Horns Redone – Demon Horns” or TheDNightshade’s “TDN Equipable Horns” as illustrated in some of the screenshots. I suppose the Spriggan huggers among you can wear circlets under this helm as well… though, why anyone would do so, only the All Maker knows.

The texture for the helm came from redxavier's mod on NEXUS "Raider's Helm." They look more realistic on his mod but he opted to remove the chain mail veil, so I figured I'd apply his dds file to the mesh I found in Skyrim. I don't have messaging privileges on NEXUS, so I wasn't able to ask him for official permission to use his texture. If I do do receive word that he doesn't concur with its use, I'll take this mod down right away.

The wicked armor you see in the screenshots comes from mate926’s mod “Ancient Nord Armor Complete” Not only does it complement the helm, but the added pants help to protect your toon from the harsh Skyrim climate as well as unwanted arrows to the knees.

For those of you with Khajiit or Argonian toons, sorry but I took the meshes from Skyrim as I found them. My adventures with Nifskope and Gimp have never ended well, so you’re stuck with the humanoid helm mesh. As for the clipping, again that’s how I found the meshes in Skyrim. But feel free to tweak them if you’re so inclined.
