Realms of Exether

Açıklama
Realms of Exether is a total conversion mod aiming to bring a D&D inspired fantasy world to Victoria 3. This includes myriad custom races such as elves, dwarves, dragons, naga and gnolls with unique racial mechanics. The ability to pursue magical-steampunk technology or the arcane arts and a plethora of new mechanics.

This is still an early build to set the foundation for future content, and updates will be done every two weeks for the steam workshop. Our development build on GitLab linked throughout this description tends to have multiple daily updates, but it is unstable.

The mod is currently updated every two weeks and patch notes can be found on our discord.[discord.gg] Due to the early nature of this mod it is highly likely that each update will be incompatible with prior save games. It is highly recommended to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mod on the steam workshop each time an update occurs.



Q: What countries should I play as first? What content has been added?
A: During country selection each nation will have a Custom Content banner when selecting it. This will provide an overview of available story content, custom interest groups and if they have a path to a major formable.

Q: Why did my save break?
A: Most of our major updates will change something or the other about the map, and this unfortunately breaks saves. If you would like to continue playing on an older save, download the previous mod version from our GitHub or Paradox Mods.

Q: Is this mod compatible with [x]?
A: No. This is a very wide-reaching total conversion mod that touches on most files in the game. Chances of any mod working with it are slim, barring smaller graphical mods.

Q: Can I help with the mod?
A: Yes! We are always looking for new members on our team. Every single new developer add a lot to our efforts, and even if you don't know how to code, we are always welcoming new artists, lore writers and others. Please reach out!

Q: Can I base my mod on this or use [x] feature?
A: We could not have created this mod without help from other mods, and wish to pass this sentinent forward. You can use mechanics from our mod to develop your own, and you may even join our discord to get some help with figuring our code out.

Good mod, but there are some problems with crashes at the very beginning of the game. Maybe the last update about trading mechanics created some problem.

played this mod till 0%. Noticed along the way it wanst finished on that end but I still had a blast with the mechcanics.

Sidenote - has anyone tested weather or not its multiplayerable or not? Ill probably test it later with a friend if I cant find or hear anything.

As fun as the mod is, its hard to intuitively know where the rubber provinces are. Especially when there's like 3 sources of it at different climates i think. So far, its the big colonial race to the bottom continent, the frozen gnome island and some of the colonizable dragon islands. Haven't found where the storm sap rubber thing is yet.

For anyone still having issues on linux, you can temporarily replace the main menu file, found in [your workshop folder]/529340/3279217222/gfx/interface/illustrations/frontend/menu_video.bik with any working bik video. I like to use one of the ones from the gfx/event_images folder. Just copy it over to the original folder and give it the menu_video.bik name, should load up just fine. Still has some occasional crashes, but you can play fairly well.

This mod is awesome, though I wish there were other mods with compatibility patches to further tune it, such as Ultra Historical Warfare or Grey's pack.

Reworking the combat to add mobilization options, and maybe different types of units so that mages, healers, druids, artificers, etc have an impact on warfare would make it an even better mod.
