Description
Realms of Exether is a total conversion mod aiming to bring a D&D inspired fantasy world to Victoria 3. This includes myriad custom races such as elves, dwarves, dragons, naga and gnolls with unique racial mechanics. The ability to pursue magical-steampunk technology or the arcane arts and a plethora of new mechanics.

This is still an early build to set the foundation for future content, and updates will be done every two weeks for the steam workshop. Our development build on GitLab linked throughout this description tends to have multiple daily updates, but it is unstable.

The mod is currently updated every two weeks and patch notes can be found on our discord.[discord.gg] Due to the early nature of this mod it is highly likely that each update will be incompatible with prior save games. It is highly recommended to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mod on the steam workshop each time an update occurs.



Q: What countries should I play as first? What content has been added?
A: During country selection each nation will have a Custom Content banner when selecting it. This will provide an overview of available story content, custom interest groups and if they have a path to a major formable.

Q: Why did my save break?
A: Most of our major updates will change something or the other about the map, and this unfortunately breaks saves. If you would like to continue playing on an older save, download the previous mod version from our GitHub or Paradox Mods.

Q: Is this mod compatible with [x]?
A: No. This is a very wide-reaching total conversion mod that touches on most files in the game. Chances of any mod working with it are slim, barring smaller graphical mods.

Q: Can I help with the mod?
A: Yes! We are always looking for new members on our team. Every single new developer add a lot to our efforts, and even if you don't know how to code, we are always welcoming new artists, lore writers and others. Please reach out!

Q: Can I base my mod on this or use [x] feature?
A: We could not have created this mod without help from other mods, and wish to pass this sentinent forward. You can use mechanics from our mod to develop your own, and you may even join our discord to get some help with figuring our code out.

Hi, i love this mod this morning i had a crash, i load many times and only crash in the date of (1-3-1297) someone have the same bug?

Looks cool, for whatever reason I cannot get over the placeholder content. Might just be personal preference, but I'd prefer you just input some shitty names in there rather than having cities named things like CITY_MINE_PROVINCENAME all over the place

I played a few times with east thaloria and in the fastest I was able to beat them in 1,5 year.
What you need in the beginning is to look for tactful or defensive strategist generals start over until 2 of them shows up you already have one general with tactful and one with both offensive and defensive strategist put all existing army to an army with these 4 generals and conscript up to full with half inf half arty.
No offense on start since their mil tech is better you would not win but ai attacks you and because their pop is smaller they cannot replace numbers as quickly once you see +20 for battle line in your favor start attacking with the offensive general and after +35-40 with all generals, dont let them get their manpower back
Last thing dont go for war objectives since you have to get all to drop ravik to below 0 instead put focus to their capital. It is faster to go for that.

I can't build Airship Docks in my subject nation like I can with railways, so I have a section that's inaccessible and can't be made accessible without the subject independently building an airship dock.
