Description
From the guy who brought creepers to Anbennar comes Ancestor Worship Enhanced!

Ancestor Worship Enhanced aims to improve the Dwarven Ancestor Worship faith by better aligning its features with the religious lore of Anbennar by using existing EUIV mechanics.

The Gist of it:
Ancestor Worship now features the "ancestors" mechanics of Totemism. There has also been an overhaul of the UI elements relating to holy sites (which are still present, making this faith perhaps one of the most powerful).

The reasons for it:
In the setting, Ancestor Worship is best described by two large facets of its faith: The Great Nine Ancestors of the Dwarves, and the regionalism of the ancestral cults. The Great Nine are
ancient ancestors whose legendary lives and deeds have elevated them to worship by all dwarves. However, many followers of this faith also venerate their own local champions and leaders alongside this core roster. By enhancing Ancestor Worship with totemism mechanics, it becomes possible to reflect these facts in the game. I mean, it's called ancestor worship. We have a mechanic for that in EUIV, it's called Ancestors.

In the release version, the Totemism mechanics have been implemented, and all rulers following the faith with assigned personalities have been given their totemist counterparts. Negative personality traits have not been reimplemented yet.
Gerin Orcrend has received an appropriately overpowered personality to reflect his legendary status among the Dwarves of Ovdal Lodhum. I also hotfixed Ovdal Tungr's ruler so he won't die immediately.

In the future, I plan to introduce custom ruler personalities that can be earned through a variety of means (events, missions, conquest, etc), as well as the reimplement maluses for rulers.

Mod works well, but has some issues with traits. Totemist traits are not(code-wise) the same as normal traits, so any missions, events, triggers that check those do not work. Particularly painful when it comes to powerful mage trait since there is a lot of logic about it. I had to chase down all mentions of powerful mage and correct it to totemist one across all mods, but that is not a sustainable solution. A compatch would be needed for at least dwarven knowledge mod and all missions combined mod, I don't remember what others were affected. While it is not your job to support other mods, it would be nice to at least cover the base Anbennar.

Also some traits give no bonus when selected.

This idea is very nice, it unfortunately needs custom coding to work with more then 1 ruler trait.
The way Totemist is designed, it just does not work properly in this setting where we want more then 1 ruler trait :(

could you make it so at the very least we can have two personalities if not just remove that part overall? if your ruler is a powerful mage and becomes a lich then they lose the powerful mage trait and likely wont get it back. Seems like this deletes all progress you have in magic schools and you cant do any more ruler magic actions.

TLDR: powerful mage gets screwed over by one personality and needs at least two possible personality traits to be completely functional

Oh did they change that in the newest update? Cool, then yeah Ancestor Mechanic works great for Dwarves.

I have been using the Dwarven Gods religion for all my Dwarf playthroughs since it got added, this mod will make me wanna stick with Dwarf Ancestor again.

Thanks to the newest version, the immortal trait is no longer needed for long life span, even elf.
not sure for real immortal such as lich and vampire.

Totenism's Ancestor mechanic makes it so you can only have one personality trait (instead of the usual three), considering dwarves have their long-lived status given by the immortal trait, how would it work in this mod? If every dwarf only has one trait then they would either only have immortality or die young due to lacking it.

Dwarves don't need to be more overpowered. But I encourage it.

Arg-Ôrdstun have a lot of flavor around their first and second diamond queen's in their new MT, perhaps add ancestors for them to Arg-Ôrdstun (one at start and one after the events that follow the second's death in-game)
