Levies Mod - Giant Kings Update

Description
[Mod by Bagas/Coll1, I (Maal) simply uploaded it to the workshop in his stead]

Description

The Levies Mod focus in reintroducing the concept of Quantity and chaff to AoW4 by including a new Resource called "Levies", leverage the power of food and a few key archetypes to break the 6 stack limits and overpower your enemies with numbers.

By adding new Army Enchantments cast with Levies, and a focus on Tome of the Horde, Feudal Culture and the Necromancy Line, we can fulfil their proper Design Fantasy of a vast and endless army.

For now i'm releasing this version with some quirks attached to it, as the mod is very much a proof of concept on how we could reintroduce chaff to the game, so please try it out and keep the feedback coming, if it turns out to be a good idea, i can possibly extend the functionality to more units types or tomes.

Additional Notes

• The spells are one use per stack only, however there are a small unintended interaction with shuffling units included to help the AI use the spells (The AI seem to not abuse it, but i'm looking for a way to fix it in a way that does not hurt the AI)

• Sometimes the units will die during spawn if there is not enough free terrain nearby.

• Levies can be earned with the Levy Camp, Mob Camp and a new structure available after building the Town Hall.

• The AI will use the new spells according to difficulty level, personality type and turn count, expect to find your decisive battles having way more units now (Can your PC handle it? Lol).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This mod is a proof of concept to try and "break" the hard-coded 6 stack limits using non-standard ways to get free units during battle.

Part of the "I like BIG Battles" series, together with "Retinue Mod" and "Mercenary Mod"

Take a look at the other ones here:

Sadly it's not possible to increase it further, now that i have tested it thought, i learned that the AI uses it only when he is ready for a "mission", so you mostly see him using when he wants to attack or defend against a stronger army. That said, there was not a single "final battle" for me where the AI did not spam it effectively, so i feel ok with their frequency. I mean i actually fought more tham once a 60+ units battle with the mod on, i'm sure it still has its moments.

Possible to increase the ai usage? im my current games the ai isnt using the spell and when i do it just feels like cheating.

Hey guys, the new DLC is live and here's the update notes:

Rebalanced Economy.
Added Support for Oathsworn.

Added the Society Trait: Powerful Nobles, boosts for farms and extra ranks for cavalry units.

And to anyone that wishes to expand this mod or create their own version for other culture and so on, you're free to do so, i'm pretty hands-off on my mods.

Can you make patch for Outlaw culture mod?
Or i could look intro that.

From my testing, the most i fought organically so far was an AI with 4 spells on a full 3v3 with me with 3.

That's already a huge amount of units, it was pretty crazy (fun for me), and there was no problem in they finding room to spawn, my PC was fine aswell but maybe it could cause lag to others.

But as you said, since the resource is costly and the AI can't spam it very well, it would be insanely rare, yet i also wonder how that would look like.

So let's say 6 armies meet and all have this spell, highly unlikely I know. Did you think about what would happen then?

Since levies were quickly conscripted peasants with little equipment and training I feel that their combat power should be comparable to scouts. This would also probably be more balanced since quantity can have a quality all of its own. I realize this would probably be more work than just summoning already existing units but I thought it was something to consider.
