Wear Circlets AND Hoods

Please Note. It has been brought to my attention that already there are other mods doing the same thing. I feel bad about this because, as a mod author myself, I would be very unhappy if someone duplicated my work. With that in mind, consider boosting the stats for these authors instead:

Check out other mods from this author - Dragon Atom - for a myriad of fixes for all sorts of headgear, including the Dragon Masks.

Last, I have gotten a few requests for a fixed Aetherium Crown which this mod definitely does not address. You folks may be interested in this mod:

Lesson of the day for me and you - always use the search engine first to find what you are looking for. That is what the search engine is for. I apologize to the other authors above and hope that you - dear Skryim player - will learn from my mistakes.

Now, on with the mod.

This mod makes a very simple change to the vanilla masks and hoods which allows them to be worn simultaneously along with a circlet.

I can not imagine why, but Bethesda thought it made sense for a mask or hood to take up both slots, making it impossible to wear either one along with a circlet. Makes no sense to me.

So I went through all the vanilla masks and hoods - including hooded robes - and modified them so that they no longer take up the circlet slot.

Very simple. No scripts.

Apparently there are some mods out there that will undo this one, so I recommend keeping this mod low down in your mod order. I realised this one day when it 'stopped working' for me. I moved it down lower in the order and problem solved.

Most hoods cover the circlet pretty nicely. Sometimes you see a tiny bit of circlet poking through the hood. I don't know anything about what is involved with fixing that, and it is so minor that it is not worth my time. If anyone out there wants to take this mod and fix whatever is involved with that - be my guest. Alternatively, you can just tell yourself that you really need to remember to darn that hood! ;) (For non-english, 'darn' means to repair with needle and thread.)

In the meanwhile - enjoy wearing both a circlet AND a hood.

The Dragon Masks were added after receiving a ton of inqueries. You asked for it, you got it. I'm not certain it makes sense, however. And it looks kind of odd, as well. If feedback is positive, great. If feedback is negative I could easily be persuaded to return the Dragon Masks to their original behaviour.
