Scottish Pyramid (Scotland-T10) v1

Description
Scottish League Pyramid (24.3.0)
=================================
This edit provides all ten tiers of the Scottish Pyramid System as currently exists in Scotland as accurate as I can make it, includes the correct B team promotion rules, not just keeping Celtic B and Hearts B out of League 2 but also making sure Clachnacuddin reserves and Stirling University reserves etc dont end up playing in the same division as their parent teams.

Includes a fully working Lowland/Highland/league 2 playoff system. For anyone interested in working with the editor themselves, you need to use the advanced rules to set these types of regional league playoffs properly. Just adding the Highland/Lowland leagues for example onto the currently existing rules won't work because the existing League 2 rules are set up to simply grab a Highland/Lowland league team at random for the playoffs, so you need to change the existing League 2 rules to get it to work properly. Its been like this in every FM I've ever edited since way back in 2008.

Also implemented the currently existing promotion play off system for teams to get into the Highland and lowland leagues from the West/East/North/South leagues at tier six. The SPFL have this setup as a regional playoff of two groups, North and South. The teams play round robin and the top team in each group gets promoted to tier 5, meanwhile the bottom side in the lowland league and the Highland leagues are automatically relegated.

Also included here are the lower league cups down to and including the infamous Scottish Junior Cup. As per the current SPFL setup, B teams such as Celtic and Hearts are not allowed to compete in these cup competitions.

Lastly, I've added yearly and monthly awards, full details are below:

Additional
==========
Added regional data for all new division to try and ensure promotion/relegation makes sense geographically.

Update 1
=======
Scottish Cup:
Implemented a more correct Scottish Cup eligibility rules than the base game with all full SFA members now eligible to play (check wikipedia if you want a list) along with the winners of the 6 regional premier leagues, the winner of the Junior cup and the winner of the Amateur cup, assuming they are not already eligible. An extra preliminary round will be played between the non SFA members if enough of them qualify via these other competition paths.

League Cup:
As per real life, winners of the Highland and Lowland leagues now qualify for next seasons league cup. Any team relegated from League 2 will also qualify. Currently IRL the last remaining place is handed out by invitation so to simulate this somewhat the last spot will be assigned randomly to the next best placed team in the Highland or Lowland league (Note B teams are not eligible next best place team will take their place)

SPFL Trust Trophy:
As per real life, teams who finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the Highland and Lowland leagues in the previous season will now qualify for the SPFL Trust Trophy. The only exception is if a team is relegated from League 2 to the Highland or Lowland leagues. In this case the relegated team will take the place of the lowest placed team in the respective division they find themselves in. Note, all premier reserve teams including Celtic B and Hearts B qualify for the cup automatically, so their positions in the Lowland league are ignored when deciding who qualifies.

Update 2
=======
Fixed minor issue setting the Junior Cup ties to take place on the dates they happen in real life, this fixes some congestion early season with the league cups.

Some of the new cups semis and finals weren't taking place at neutral grounds. Fixed this now.

Update 3
=======
Evened out some of the cup fixtures again for the lower league teams in the south/west/east regional leagues, the south challenge cup, regional league cups and junior cup should be spread out a bit better now.

Added Scots Gaelic as a minority language to the Highlands and Islands region because.. why not. It will be added to a very small percentage of newgens as the game progresses.

Update 4
=======
Added IRL competition prize money for the lower league competitions that I could find data for. For example winning the Scottish Junior cup will net you £20,000, runner up £10,000 all the way down to losing out in round two making you a whole £100 for your trouble.

For competitions I couldn't get data on I used level appropriate figures fitting in with what the competitions I could get data on were offering, for example winning the West of Scotland Division 4 at tier ten will net you £10,000 for your efforts.. don't spend it all in the one shop.

Notes:
======

1) You might want to start with the add players and add staff options checked, many of the teams included have grey players only.

2) I've simulated up to 80 odd years so far without any issues but I haven't manually play tested it for long yet. If anyone encounters any problems or notices something inaccurate
then please let me know so I can fix.

3) Check out Soul's Enhanced FM logos pack here:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3124259094

Its a great mod to have in general and its got logo's for most of the teams in Scotland, including 95+% of the lower league teams enabled in this edit.

4) I'm also playing with Joosh's Club and Competition names fix, another great edit to have in general and there seems to be no clashes between it and this one:

good evening UrineArtist dude are you making any adjustments to this file M8? IE, incorporating the amateur set up with playoff to the league pyramid ?
Mackie B Dec 14, 2024 @ 6:41am
Hi mate thanks for checking in on that. I wasn't aware that the colt option would possibly kick in. I think Edinburgh City were in the Lowland league at this point so I suspect you could be right.

Kirklander,

Sorry dude, no can do, don't have the free time at the moment, too much work going on just now IRL.
Kirklander Oct 16, 2024 @ 6:45am
UrineArtist can you do the file for me please ? Merge so its like back in 70s Scottish Division One And Two :) but keep the rest the same with relegation /promotion from the Highland/Lowland Leagues
UrineArtist  [author] Oct 16, 2024 @ 6:40am
Hi Mackie,

Promotion to ES Premier is working absolutely fine for me.

I took a look at Edinburgh CFC and it looks like they are affiliated with Edinburgh City, both clubs share the same board. If you look at the affiliated clubs page for Edinburgh CFC it says:

"The terms of this deal prevent Edinburgh CFC from playing in the same division as Edinburgh City."

I suspect this is what is causing your problem, what division are Edinburgh City in on your save? If they're in ES Premier then they game will not promote you to the same division based on the affiliation between the two clubs.

If they are a bit higher, say around Lowland league or League Two then possibly the colt team rules are kicking in and it won't promote you any higher than two divisions below the parent club Edinburgh City.

Just incase it was a one-off problem I tried again and won the ES 1st Division. No promotion initiated. Hours wasted.
